Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our team. This is a 3 month contract position with the possibility of being extended or converted to a permanent position. As a Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will work directly with the Marketing Director to create, schedule, and post content on various social media platforms using AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other platforms. Training will be provided. You will also play a vital role in breaking down the content of the Jim Fortin podcast episodes, creating engaging newsletters, and developing PDF workbooks for our listeners.
Employment Type: Full-time contract-to-permanent, remote
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to create, schedule, and post content on social media platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand and voice.
- Utilize AI technologies to aid in content creation, including breaking down the ideas, thoughts, and themes within our podcast episodes and creating social media posts, workbooks for listeners, and promotional newsletters. (Training provided)
- Write, proofread, and edit marketing and sales copy to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, and alignment with the brand's messaging.
- Assist in managing social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,YouTube, Twitter and TikTok.
- Work with social media scheduling platforms like Later, Buffer, and Hootsuite to plan and optimize content distribution. (Training provided)
- Maintain effective communication within the marketing team, asking questions, seeking clarification when needed and providing regular status updates.
Required Experience:
- Excellent command of the English language, with excellent grammar and spelling skills.
- Background/interest in spirituality, meditation, mindfulness, yoga, shamanic practices, ancient wisdom and health and wellness will be invaluable in your role.
- Experience marketing/advertising on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Further training will be provided.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using social media scheduling platforms like Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite is a plus. Further training will be provided.
- Experience of direct response marketing and the ability to write engaging marketing copy.
- Experience using AI technologies like ChatGPT and Midjourney. Further training will be provided.
- Experience using project management software like ClickUp and Monday. Training will be provided.
- Experience working with Google Docs and Google Sheets.

Start Date: Within the next 30 days. To make sure we’re a fit for each other there will be a 90 day probationary period.
Work Schedule: Flexible; tasks must be completed on time. Generally, the business operates from 9am – 5pm PST/PDT.
Training Provided: All software and programs used to conduct business
Team Structure: The Social Media Marketing Specialist will work directly with the Marketing Director and be part of a collaborative marketing team.

Hourly Rate: $20 to $25 per hour, negotiable based on skills and experience
