You’re listening to the transform your life from the inside out podcast. This episode is titled destroy your fear with the only thing more powerful than fear. You know, if you’re like most people, fear paralyzes you. It keeps you from doing the things that you want to do in life, and it keeps you from creating the things you want to create in life. There’s a phrase I heard many years ago. I’ve shared it here and I’ll share it again. 
 
And when you really take this phrase and you understand it, but more than that, you come to know it, everything will change for you. That is everything you want is on the other side of fear. And as I said, it’s fear that gets in your way and keeps you from the things that you want. I remember Don Xavier one time saying, and I’ve really come to understand this phrase. He said that the most poisonous virus. 
 
The most deadly virus on the planet is not an organic virus, but that virus is fear. So in this episode, I know I’ve done episodes before on fear, but in this episode, we’re going to dig into fear. We’re going to talk about that one power that you have that is stronger than fear to destroy your fear. Keep listening. Is fear controls most people 
 
in pretty much every aspect of their life. And that is their mind, their own individual mind, sabotaging them, but they don’t even recognize the degree to which the fear in their own mind by choice, which is we’ll talk about, is sabotaging them and keeping them from what they want in life. When I said by choice, what I mean by that is the initial fearful thought coming in 
 
That is not a choice because that is brain based. However, it is a choice to keep entertaining the energy and the concept of fear. So when the fear comes in, hey, that’s just your brain doing its job. And there’s a difference, as I’ve said before, between fear and danger. When the fear comes in, what most people do is they wallow in the fear. They perpetuate the fear. They propagate the fear. And what they don’t even recognize 
 
is they’re using their own consciousness, their own intelligence, and their own mind against their own best interest. So in this episode, we’re going to talk about choice and the choice to entertain fear or destroy fear. And we’re going to start eliminating your fear. And I’m going to give you a little exercise at the end of this episode. And when you do that, 
 
I’m not sure this is what I do know. I am sure about I am sure that it will work, but I don’t know how quickly it could be literally one day. It could be maybe a week or so, but the truth is when you practice what I’m going to give you at the end of this episode, you will then start mastering and you will start destroying and eliminating your fear. Last week I was in Zion National Park here in the United States. I have family. have home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and we went up 
 
for a 10 day vacation and spent a week in Jackson Hole. We kind of took our time driving up there through Salt Lake City, Park City, and did a stint at Bryce National Canyon and Zion National Canyon. We did some rappelling right outside of Zion. And I remember the instructor, before we started rappelling, which I’ve done before, so it was no big deal to me. But the instructor said, because our first repel was 80 feet, straight down. 
 
And the instructor said, is anyone here afraid of heights? And there was just a small group. There’s only four of us in the group. And two people said, yes, they were afraid of heights. And two people said, no. Now I was one of the people not afraid of heights. When we look at being afraid of heights, that is a fear. But I want to demonstrate something here, whether it’s heights. And by the way, we’re only born with two fears, the fear of falling and the fear of loud noise. 
 
So I can understand the fear of heights to some degree, but let’s look at other fears. The fear of flying, the fear, and it’s interesting how it’s both ends of the spectrum. The fear of money, the fear either of literally being broke or the fear that people get into when they have a lot of money and they’re afraid they’re going to lose it. Two opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the money that someone has, 
 
But it doesn’t matter if somebody has a lot of money because people don’t have a lot, a lot, a lot of money, spend a lot of time protecting it and they’re living in fear. But people that don’t have any money are in fear because they don’t have any money. It’s all fear. What about this? Health. I know some people that are extremely healthy and they’re constantly worried about not being healthy, which by the way, what they’re constantly worried about is what they’re attracting into their life. What about love? Same thing like money. 
 
that you’re lonely and you fear being lonely or you are in a relationship and you fear losing the relationship. What about these fears? Social fears, fear of am I good enough? Fear of criticism, fear of judgment, fear of what are people going to say about me? All of these are fear, but they all have one common denominator and that is you. 
 
But these examples that I’m giving you, the flying, the repelling, the heights, the money, the health, the love, the judgment, the criticism, and the good enough, the distinction I want to create here is that these fears are not universal, meaning the fear of heights. When we were out there about to repel down an 80-foot cliff, I was not afraid. But there was someone else there who was afraid. Now, if fear was universal, 
 
that would mean that everyone there would be fearful about repelling down. And I wasn’t, but some people were, which means we individually choose our own fears. Now again, to be fair to you, as I did say, the fear of falling is one of the two fears we’re born with and the fear of loud noises. And I would think it’s definitely fearful for people if they’re afraid of falling and they are falling. 
 
And they’re also afraid they’re going to make a lot of noise doing it. And of course, I’m just kidding about that. But notice this fear is not universal because as I said, if it was, then everyone would be afraid of having money or losing money or good health or bad health or being in love or not being in love or judgment or criticism or good enough or whatever it might be. But because everyone doesn’t have these fears that I’m sharing, 
 
That right there proves that fears are not external. They are not from the world. They are manufactured in the mind. Now in fairness here also, one little caveat is the fears that you have, whatever they might be, these fears, I’m not saying, it’s your fault you have these fears. I’m not saying that at all. Because you probably learn these fears as a small child between the ages of about two and six years old. 
 
You learn through socialization. You learn what was good, what was bad, what was right, what was wrong in culture. And then as a result of that learning, you’ve based fears around that. So it wasn’t your choice to learn the fears, but it is your choice to hang on to the fears. For most people fear completely. And I mean completely controls their life and determines their life. 
 
I think back to a phrase, a quote I heard many years ago, I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase by Henry David Thoreau, is that most people live lives of quiet desperation. Now when you think about that, most people live lives of quiet desperation. But the question I have for you is what underlies the desperation? That’s a really easy answer. What underlies 
 
The desperation is the fear, the fear to change the circumstance, the fear to be more or do more or have more or go more or create more. And people get into such a myriad of fears. I remember about five years ago in the transformational coaching program, there was this young guy in there that was very, very driven and very motivated. 
 
And I said, what do you feel holds you back? What’s your biggest fear? And he said, because he was already relatively successful. And he said, my fear is that if I do better than what I’m even doing, I’m going to be doing better than my father. And that might literally upset my father. It might challenge my father. It might intimidate my father. And I don’t want my father to feel bad. Well, this guy was literally making his father’s feelings his responsibility. 
 
but he wasn’t growing his business. And even though he was successful, he wasn’t growing it out of fear. In that same vein, if you’re struggling with money, think about this, if you’re struggling with money, you’re making the wrong choices. You’re doing something horribly wrong. And what I know statistically, well, in the United States, 79 % of people have money struggles. 
 
I would assume that’s probably consistent around the world. But if you’re struggling with money, number one, I use that word choices a bit ago. That is your choice. You are making that choice. But again, what’s causing you to make that choice? Fear. As a kid, I was always very motivated and I don’t know where I learned to be that way because my parents and in particular, my dad was not that way. 
 
My dad was an alcoholic and my dad literally just struggled with money his entire life. We just did not have money. And I remember when I was about 14 or 15, my uncle, my mom’s brother said, Hey, I can get you a job with the phone company. It’s a really solid job making a lot more money than what you’re making right now. It’s a lot easier than what you’re doing. It’s, it’s a really solid opportunity. 
 
Now my uncle had been at that company for about 15 years and he’d moved up into management. So he told my dad that he wanted to bring my dad onto the company. I, course, as a kid, wanted a better life and my dad passed up the opportunity and I said, dad, I don’t understand. You have, you have the opportunity to make more money and have a better life. Why didn’t you do it? And he said to me, quote, I’m afraid to do it. 
 
because I don’t think I’m smart enough to do it. But notice the operative word, I’m afraid, fear. I mean, my dad was a relatively bright guy. He could have figured it out and he wanted a better life for his family, even though he’s drinking all the time. He wanted a better life, but he couldn’t provide it because he wouldn’t literally work through his fear. He didn’t understand the fear. And you know, as it pertains to you, 
 
What do you want in life that you’re afraid to create? Maybe you want to start your own business. For a small amount of you, you’re probably by choice and a soul sucking job. And I hear that phrase a lot. I hear people saying, I hate my job. I’m in a soul sucking job. Well, for a lot of you listening, many of you are in unfulfilling jobs, but see, you won’t change the job. You won’t go after what you want. You won’t 
 
ask somebody out. There are many things you won’t invest. You won’t hire consultants if you have a business. You know, I’ve offered all of you guys here the opportunity to enroll in a transformational coaching program. Many of you have the erroneous excuse that, I don’t need any more than the podcast. That’s nonsense. Do you think I’m going to give you everything here? This is just information. And if you’ve got context that’s working against the information, 
 
It doesn’t matter how much information you bring in your context, your subconscious programming is going to keep spitting it out no matter how much more you want to create in life. But it’s not free to enroll in TCP. It’s also not expensive. Anyone that wants to do it can do it. But 95 % of people don’t do it. And I could radically, I’ve got proof, thousands of people, I can help you radically transform your life in a very quick amount of time. 
 
But because of the fear that people have, they won’t do anything different. They won’t get out of the fear to become a much stronger version of themselves. And they continue living that life of quiet desperation. And you know, the double whammy is that everything that you want is on the other side of fear, but it’s that very fear that keeps you trapped in the fear. Many people are afraid to get out of the fear because if I get out of the fear, then what am I going to 
 
do differently? How is life going to be differently if I get out of the fear? And I don’t know that answer. So I will just stay in the fear and the misery that I’m in. I can talk about it later. I won’t talk about it now. A little bit of that is brain-based, but even the realization of it should give you some leverage. You know, an example would be a, I’m picking a female because it’s more prevalent, a female that would be in an abusive relationship. And she’s like, I don’t like it here. I don’t feel good here. 
 
I’m not treated well here and I want to leave. And she has the opportunity to leave, but she won’t leave because she’s afraid of, well, how is life going to be different or what’s going to be different or how am going to take care of myself or how am going to do this if I leave this abusive relationship? Fear. Fear is what holds her and many people in that kind of relationship. You know, mentioning investing in yourself. 
 
Not my place to judge and I’m not tossing stones because I can relate. think back to about 25 years ago, I’ve always been self-employed. I’ve always been an entrepreneur. I wanted to hire somebody to help me with my social media marketing. And this was when it was all brand new back like 20 something years ago. It was in the infancy stages. And one of my good friends was a person who exposed me to a lot. His name is Rich Shefford. And at that point he was one of the 
 
biggest names in internet marketing in the world. And he’s still rather influential, but he’s not well known like he used to be. I got into internet marketing at the very early days of it back in 2000, 1999, 2000, 2001, already looking into it and fully exploring it by 2021, 2022. But I think back to when I started my company, which my first company that I started was a marketing company back in the year 2000. 
 
I was one of those solarpreneurs. I’m going to do it myself. I’m going to gather free information. I’m going to figure it out myself. I’ll buy as many books as I can. I’ll read as much as I can. I don’t need to hire anybody. I’ll figure it out myself. And I didn’t want to hire somebody because my thoughts were all fearful. Okay. What is this going to cost me? And back then it was a thousand dollars per week for the person I wanted to hire who today literally is one of the biggest names in internet marketing. 
 
I was going to be one of her first four clients back almost 25 years ago. As I said today, LinkedIn ranks her as one of the top 10 marketing experts in the world. So I stepped out, I put the money out, but my fears were, what if she doesn’t deliver? What if I don’t make enough money to pay her back? What if it doesn’t work? 
 
And I said, Jim, you’ve got to get out of those fears. You’ve got to trust somebody who knows more about this than you do. And in that moment, those first couple of months is when my business started growing. And what I recognized is that when I got out of my fear, I got out of my comfort zone and I hired people to coach me or to train me or to help me. 
 
and they knew more than what I did because they were subject matter experts, I got a lot further down the road. And today, as I look back over the past 25 years, my companies and my team and I have generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue. I never would have generated that had I not gotten out of my fear. And I remember back at the same time, there was a weekend workshop that I wanted to go to. 
 
Now I had the money, but it was back then, I think it was $10,000 or something like that. And again, this was like 25 years ago. I bit the bullet. I was like, you know, I’m really afraid to put this money out because I was making probably six figures at that point, maybe 120, 140, something like that. I’d have to go back and look at my old tax returns. So I had the money, but I was hoarding it out of fear because I grew up without money. And that one weekend, I got one idea. 
 
that literally has led me to where I am today. And had I not gotten that one idea, that one epiphany, that one aha that cost me $10,000, I would not have made tens of millions of dollars. So when I look at it, I can trade $10,000. And if I trade $10,000 to the right people that can help me, I can make tens of millions of dollars. But what a lot of us do is we stay in the fear 
 
I’m going to figure it out myself. I’m going to, you know, I’m going to watch videos and I’m going to do this and I’m going to do that. The only reason you do that crap is because you are afraid to actually find the right people to bring on the help you grow exponentially, whether it be with your health, your weight, your money, your relationships, whatever it is. So the truth is this, if you’re not getting what you want in life, plain and simple, you don’t know how to create it. 
 
But then the next obstacle is that you probably are in fear about hiring or working with the right people who do know how to get you where you want to be. Notice that fear is keeping you from everything that you want. That fear is keeping you in, as Thoreau called it, quiet desperation. But you keep choosing that over and over and over again. And then ask yourself this, am I choosing from possibility? 
 
Or am I choosing from fear? Most of us what we do, not even knowing we’re doing it, and again, compassionately, I’ve been there. Most times we are choosing from fear instead of choosing from possibility. 
 
You know, there’s a phrase that I heard many years ago from a guy that I knew and he literally would kind of be obnoxious about money, but he made a lot of money. And I heard him say one time is that rich people don’t make money based upon what something cost. Rich people make the decisions based upon what they invest in and what it can do for them. Think about that. And when I heard that it really hit me because I’m like, holy shit. 
 
I’ve been hoarding my money and not putting it in the things because I was afraid of what it was going to cost me. 2000, 5,000, 10,000. But what I didn’t look at is what’s it going to do for me? What if I worked with one of the number one coaches, which I’ve done all these things, number one coaches in the world, or what if I did this? What is it going to do for me? I want to point out, you’ve also got to make good decisions. In 2022, 
 
I hired a company to build out all of my digital platforms, social media, all of that in a bigger way. And I agreed to a $268,000 one year agreement. Three months in, and they helped set up the goals three months in, they were 60 % behind their goals. And I literally terminated the agreement because I’m like, we’re not getting the results that you guys promised. And fortunately they recognized they weren’t delivering. 
 
And we terminated the agreement. But the point is I wasn’t afraid to put $268,000 into something. I had the money and I wasn’t afraid to put it there because I knew where it could take me if they delivered. I’m not telling you to put $268,000 in anything right off the bat. What I’m telling you to look at, what do you want to create in life? How do you get there? What resources do you need? And then what fear is keeping you trapped? 
 
Because a lot of times you don’t even need resources, you need creativity, but the fear keeps you trapped from even being creative. You know, the laundry list that I mentioned above, the flying and the heights and the judgment and all those kinds of things. I probably, with the exception of flying at heights, dealt with all the, I’ve experienced all the rest of those fear of being judged, the fear being criticized. This day and age, none of that stuff bothers me. 
 
not even 1%. And that’s not because I’m better than anyone else. I’ve just learned, which we’re going to talk about here in a moment, I’ve just learned to have a different relationship with fear and a different perspective and interpretation around fear. And I’m not going to go into it in this podcast, but your fear is also propagated and sustained by your attachment. You know, many times people stay in really bad relationships. 
 
Why? Because they are attached and they’re afraid of what their life will be or what will happen if they don’t have that attachment. Many times people are codependent and they’re afraid of what’s going to happen again. Fear if they don’t have that codependency, who’s going to take care of me, who’s going to help me, who’s going to watch out for me. How am I going to pay my bills? Well, as I tell people over the years, it sounds a bit callous, but stand on your own two feet, stand in your own power. 
 
and figure that shit out because everything can be figured out. But what many people do is I see it all the time. They stay in the same jobs. And I’ve heard the phrase I used earlier, I’ve heard people say, my gosh, my job is soul sucking. Well, create something else, but they’re afraid to. And then they’ll go to external circumstances. the economy is this and this is bad. And the tariffs and all these kinds of things. 
 
I was talking to friend of mine a couple of days ago, she and her husband are visiting town and actually we’re good friends now. She was my boss over 30 years ago and I was a corporate recruiter and I worked for a very large recruiting company. I only worked there for about two or three years, but I remember hearing this to the owners of the company told me four men started the company, which today is a multi-billion dollar company. And they said, everyone told us we would fail. 
 
We started the company during a recession of all times when people are not hiring and they’re laying off. We started an HR company and Doug, the guy, one of the owners was laughing. He goes, we were invited to the recession like everyone else, but we didn’t go. But my whole point around this story is as long as you’re perpetuating and propagating and holding the fear, nothing’s going to change. No matter how much you want it to change. 
 
Nothing is going to change. So in this episode, what we want to do is we want to start working from a paradigm, a mental construct and a paradigm that we can use to start eliminating our fear. Now, a couple of minutes ago, I said that fear is also an interpretation. Let’s say you’re at home by yourself. You’re in the TV room, the den, living room, whatever, and all your curtains and your blinds are closed. 
 
And you can hear the TV and you’re watching this, you know, this, this movie, maybe it’s not a lot of women like Rambo or something that that guy that’s so old, but maybe it’s not a loud movie blowing up a lot of shit, but it’s a movie. And you think you hear something outside and then right away you get all afraid. But what I want you to notice in that moment is you’re not afraid of what’s happening outside. You are afraid of your interpret. 
 
interpretations of what’s happening outside and your first interpretation might be my gosh Did I lock the back gate? Is there someone in my backyard? Normally where we do not go first is well, maybe it’s just a brushing up against the house Maybe something fell over in the backyard we go to interpretations right away with no factual basis behind the interpretation and I’ve said this before and I’m saying this is kind of tossing this end of the soup here 
 
You may want to think about this. All of your fears are propagated and sustained by your interpretations. And what I also want to share here to go one step further, many of us, we live at the mercy of our circumstances, which the circumstances and propagate the fear. But what I want to share with you is you are never at the mercy of your circumstances ever, but you’re always at the mercy of your interpretations. 
 
So if you’re living in fear, ask yourself, what interpretations am I making? And when you take this little bitty simple thing and you take it apart, you’re going to find that every fear you have has an interpretation attached. Okay, my interpretation is if I do X, Y, Z, they’re going to judge me. And if they judge me, then guess what? I’m not as good as what I thought. And then if they judge me, I’m going to be rejected and I’m going to feel bad and I’m going to lose this. 
 
It’s all an interpretation. We don’t know that any of that is true. We are just making interpretations. So what we’re going to start doing right now, I want to take you on a little, through a little exercise here, a couple of steps to shift to higher thought. You’ve often heard me talk about consciousness. I want to share another nugget with you. And when you get this life will change for you. Grammatically. The only reality. 
 
as consciousness. That’s it. Think about that. The only reality is consciousness. Because without consciousness, there would be no reality. And the more you think about that phrase, the only reality is consciousness, the more true it’s going to become for you. But not only that, it gives you power because when you recognize 
 
that we can go beyond the individual fears that are generated in the brain, we can go to a higher consciousness to eliminate the individual fears that we hold. And you’ve heard me say before, so I’m not going to really go into it a lot here. I just said the only reality is consciousness. But you know what? Everything is consciousness. And without consciousness running through you, you are a medium for consciousness. And without the consciousness running through you, 
 
surging through you, you’d be nothing more than a dead bag of skin. The consciousness, universal consciousness, which you, your physical body is a medium for, is the foundation and the fabric of your entire life. Now, another thought, take a note of this. Consciousness is more powerful than fear. Because see, consciousness does not come from fear. 
 
Fear comes from consciousness. So let’s get back to repelling again, the heights and the flying and the judgment. We can all think in consciousness. And some people like myself are thinking, I’m not afraid of heights, and I’m using my consciousness to think that. The people that are afraid of falling are using their consciousness to literally entertain fear. But what many of us do is we literally live, just end the fear completely. 
 
not even recognizing that wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, the fear is coming from me, but I’m a conscious being and my consciousness is more powerful than the fear. Make a note of that. My consciousness is more powerful than the fear and your fear, the only place it comes from because some people have fears and some people don’t as I’ve said three times down, your fear. 
 
comes from your consciousness. Now, very quickly here, I’ve been meaning for some time now to do an episode on this and I haven’t done it, but let’s talk about the brain very briefly. Your brain is organic. Your brain is physical. And your brain is also a medium for your consciousness. So consciousness is an organic mind. I mean, 
 
this scientists don’t know if you ask scientists where’s the mind they don’t So your consciousness is inorganic mind but your brain is organic physicality. Your brain is like a processor it’s like an Intel chip. The chip doesn’t create the frequency that it processes but it processes the frequency. So the chip doesn’t generate the frequencies the chip just processes the frequencies. 
 
So your brain doesn’t generate the consciousness. Your brain processes the consciousness, just like a radio signal. Now, right now, I don’t know what device that you are watching or listening to this on, but guess what? If you’re listening to a podcast and you’re listening to your cell phone, that’s all consciousness. all frequency. It’s all signal. But I, Jim Fortin, let’s say you’re listening to me on your phone, I am not 
 
in your phone. Right now, I’m in Sedona, Arizona, but this is all being literally brought to you through the medium of energy and consciousness. Now, it’s important to recognize you don’t own consciousness. Consciousness is the only reality. It’s everything, everywhere, at all times, in all places. You simply, for a lack of better words, you channel consciousness, you are a medium for it, and you manage it. 
 
but also you are consciousness because like I said a couple of minutes ago, if you don’t have consciousness in your body, you’re a dead bag of skin. But see what you have is you have the free will to choose where you’re to hold and place your consciousness. So the people afraid of the cliffs of the heights up at Zion, they literally had acknowledged they had fear, but they were also choosing to hold the fear. 
 
Now, of course, we had an instructor and they were all fine and everyone was fine. And when we were done, they’re like, I had a really good time today. My question, my thought would have been, would they have challenged themselves if they weren’t doing something in terms of like an activity like we were doing, which was a recreational activity? But my other thought was how often do they get in the fear and they don’t challenge the fear recognizing 
 
They are the very manufacturer of the fear that they’re afraid of. I want to do a podcast as I saying a couple of minutes ago, and I just, it’s a big, big topic and I want to make sure I do it well and do it right because that’s a big topic. But something I’ve learned over the years is that you don’t even need a brain to connect with consciousness. To prove that, to demonstrate that, look at the amount of people that have had a near death experience and they are literally pronounced brain dead. 
 
even for a few minutes, they’re just gone, they’re brain dead. But they can tell you everything that happened at the accident site or in the operating room. That is consciousness. Your consciousness is not owned by the body. Your body simply again is a medium and a processor for the consciousness. So what you’ve got to recognize is that all of your fear is not from outside of you. All of your fear is from inside of you. And then you 
 
perpetuated based upon how you are managing your consciousness and particularly you probably heard me say this before six words You are where your attention is You are where your attention is and where your attention is is where your consciousness is Because you’re conscious even when you’re not afraid, but you’re not entertaining fear. So for example right now listening 
 
You’re probably not afraid of anything. You’re simply listening. You are conscious right this moment. But if you were to hold a fearful thought, now your consciousness is entertaining the fear. Fear is made up. Fear is 100 % individually made up. Think back to the opening examples and think about how people literally associate and they personalize fear to other people. 
 
to circumstances, to life, to creating, to pretty much everything in life is all literally just covered in this blanket of fear. We have to get out of that. I’m going to use a word here that I really don’t like using, and I’ll explain why I don’t like using it, but the C word. It’s a bad word. And that C word is control. You know, many times people will say things like, 
 
I have to control this or they’ll say I’m a control freak or people try to control things and the truth is we don’t control anything. Many times I will ask people what’s the one thing you can control and often people will say well I can control my own thinking. No you can’t. If you could control your own thinking then you wouldn’t have thoughts that you do not want. The fact that you have thoughts that you do not want means that you cannot control your thinking. However another c-word what you can do 
 
we all have that power. We can choose our thinking. As I look back at me 25 years ago, and I think about all the fears that I got into, I don’t get into them today at all. It doesn’t even bother me today. I look at, my gosh, all the choices that I was making to hold on to all the things that I was attached to because of fear. 
 
because we as human beings, we’re afraid to lose what we currently have, which is in itself attachment. And then we attach to things and then we’re afraid if we lose things, but make no mistake, it’s all manufactured in the mind. So I told you when we started, I wanted to give you a couple of steps here to start destroying fear. To destroy fear, you have to work from the knowing and the ownership of both your individual mind and your brain. 
 
You have to stop being a slave to your mind and to your brain. Remember what I said, you’re not at the mercy of your of your interpretations, which by the way are created by your mind and brain because you can always reinterpret no matter what interpretations you’re making. You can always reinterpret, which proves that your consciousness is bigger than the interpretation itself. Remember what I said, you’re never at the mercy of your circumstances because you have free will and consciousness. 
 
to reevaluate your circumstances. You know, I think back to the old phrase we have all heard before, John F. Kennedy, there’s nothing to fear but fear in itself. And all fear in your life, all fear in your life is manufactured by you. I’m not creating your fears, I’m not manufacturing your fears, you are manufacturing your fears. 
 
And because you’re manufacturing your fears, you have the choice to remanufacture thought through your consciousness without the fears. So here’s what you want to do. Anytime that you’re feeling, here’s the operative word, anytime that you are feeling afraid, what you want to do in that moment is you want to stop because that’s your trigger. That right there tells you it’s time to use the exercise that Jim gave you. 
 
And what you want to do is you want to start dialoguing with your fear, which by the way, is you using your free will and your consciousness to dialogue with what has been organically created by the brain and then held in the mind. Okay. So here’s what you want to say. I’m to give it to you verbatim. You can change it. You can tweak it, but it has to kind of mean the same thing. So when fear comes in, here’s what you say. Do not discount this. 
 
Why? Because it works, it moves your attention, it pulls you out of the fear, and then once you’re out of the fear, you can make the choice of, want to go back into the fear or I want to grow beyond the fear. Now, for many people, once you get out of the fear, the brain will pull you back into the fear again. This is where repetition becomes valuable. When you use what I’m sharing here and you do it repetitiously, you’ll find that you start reconditioning the brain. 
 
and you start reconditioning the brain out of the fear. So anytime fear comes up, here’s what you say. Here we go. Couple of sentences. This is an illusion. You can even say this fear is an illusion. I am making it up in my mind. Now the example about many people internalizing fear proves that this is an illusion. I am making it up in my mind. My consciousness is making this up 
 
and is also holding it. And because I made it up, I can choose to make up something different. And what we’re doing there is called reframing. We are using the power of your mind, the power of your consciousness to reframe what’s been created for you or from you through your analytical thinking, through your life experiences. Let me read it again. Anytime fear comes up, stop. 
 
say to yourself, write this down on a three by five card. This is an illusion. I am making this up in my mind. My consciousness is making this up and is also holding it. And because I made it up, I can make up anything or I can choose to think something different. And in that moment, then what you want to do pretty simply move your attention, move your attention to possibility as opposed to resignation, move your attention to possibility as opposed to the fear that you’re in. 
 
Use your conscious thinking to start thinking, okay, I put that fear aside for like three minutes. How can I think differently about this scenario? How can I think from resolution, not from problem? How can I think from courageousness, not from fear? And start creating new ways to think in your mind. When you’re doing this, you’re using the one ability that you have, the ability to think in your consciousness to destroy the fear that’s nothing more than a rote behavior created in the brain. 
 
through your life experiences. Now for me also, there’s a mantra that I learned many years ago that, and I promise you, I’m not bullshitting you. And especially after I almost died in 2020, which nothing really bothers me anymore. I mean, we all have attachments as part of the human experience, but not a whole lot bothers me when it comes to losing something or whatever it might be. But what I’ve learned for me, and this is what I say to myself, 
 
Fear is my invitation. It’s my soul calling me to grow and evolve and I accept the calling. Repeat, fear is my invitation. It’s my soul calling me to grow and evolve and I accept the calling. Because guess what? The fear comes to you and when you actually use the power that you are, I talked about several episodes ago, the seniority, when you use your seniority, you automatically 
 
dominate the fear and when you dominate the fear you release the fear. So this whole approach is about one thing, using your consciousness, using your mind, using your consciousness of mind, using your free will to destroy the fear that has been literally propagated, perpetuated and held in the brain which is organic. Mind is more powerful than brain. 
 
mind is infinite, brain is finite. Use the power of your consciousness and your mind, which is more powerful than the brain to literally manage the brain. What I said a bit ago, write it down, use it every time you get into fear. And I promise you, within maybe a day, two days, three days, you’re going to find yourself starting to actually dominate your fear and not being controlled by your fear.

in terms of your experience is what generates the fear. Your mind helps perpetuate it because your brain and mind, even though they’re not exclusive, they work together. Use the power of your mind to dominate your brain because the power of your mind is more powerful than the power of your brain. 

So the only thing more powerful than fear is the mind that created the fear and chooses to entertain the fear and hold on to it.
