You’re listening to the Transform Your Life from the Inside Out podcast. This episode is titled Emotionally Thriving in 2025 and Beyond. There’s a lot of chaos in the world and we know it and I see many, if not a large majority of people going into emotional lockdown, specifically fear, uncertainty. And in this episode, I want to talk a little bit about this political chaos.
But I want to look at it from a spiritual perspective and a higher mind perspective. But I also want to give you a, what I call a 3d tool, meaning a human thought tool to be able to manage any fear that you might be going into. Because you can’t thrive if you’re in chaos mentally. And I want to help start relieving you from that chaos. Keep listening. Hi, I’m Jim Fortin, and you’re about to start transforming your life from the inside out with this podcast.
I’m widely considered the leader in subconscious transformation and I’ve coached super achievers all around the world for over 25 years. Here you’re going to find no rah rah motivation and no hype because this podcast is a combination of brain science, transformational psychology and ancient wisdom all rolled into one to take your life to levels you’ve never thought possible. If you’re wanting a lot more in life, to feel better, to heal, to have peace of mind,
feel powerful and alive and to bring more abundance and prosperity into your life, then this podcast is for you because you’re going to start learning how to master your mind and evolve your consciousness. And when you do that, anything you want then becomes possible for you. I’m glad you’re here. Okay. So emotionally thriving in 2025 and beyond. Now, why did I say and beyond?
Candidly, I don’t know what’s going to happen. No one knows what’s going to happen in the world. But Don Javier, and he’s generally correct in what he’s saying, but sometimes he’s not correct in what he’s saying. And he said, because all I can see is what I can see in the moment. And people can always change their consciousness. And when people change their and shift their consciousness and raise your consciousness, then what I’m currently seeing changes.
Jim Fortin (02:24.181)
What I want to talk about, we’re going to go a couple of different places, is looking at the world and then how we manage that looking. It’s no question to me, of course, you could have a different opinion and that’s fine, of course, but it’s no question to me. We’re living in a very chaotic time. When you look at the U.S. economy, which is a dominant world currency, at least for now, and I’m sure that’s going to change at some point.
You look at the economic chaos, you look at the political chaos, you look at the social chaos. This all happens for one reason all around the world and all the countries this is happening in. Now we can attribute it to analytics, maybe borders or, or economic control or economic autonomy or whatever it might be. But the only thing driving all of this is fear. When we are in the fear.
There’s a part of the brain, the reptilian part of the brain, the oldest part of the brain. That part of the brain is responsible for our survival. And that means keeping us what we perceive to be safe. But there’s also an analytical part of us, the prefrontal cortex, that thinks about everything that’s happening in our own individual world. And then as we think about it, we may get in the fear, we might not get in the fear.
So what happens is you might wonder, but let me give you the most basic example. Let’s say that you don’t like snakes and you walk outside and you see a snake. Well, the first thing that most people do is they scream, they recoil, they react or they run. Now they don’t look at that snake and then go all analytical and think, okay, well, that is a reptile. That is a snake. I do not like snakes.
Okay, now I don’t like snakes. What kind of snake is that? Should I run from that snake? Maybe I should run. Maybe I shouldn’t run. And then if I run, which direction should I run? And then how fast should I run? We don’t do any of that. We simply just run from the snake. Well, that’s the reptilian brain. That’s the oldest part of the brain fight or flight survival kicking in. When we go into fear about what’s happening in the world, you’re seeing it.
Jim Fortin (04:47.959)
right now in front of your eyes and especially in the United States, which means it’s all over the news and Tik Tok and Twitter and Instagram and social media and et cetera. There are so many, the masses, whether they be on the left side of the aisle or the right side of the aisle, they’re in fear. And when we go into fear, the oldest part of the brain, the reptilian part of the brain automatically overrides the analytical thinking part of the brain.
We don’t think literally when we are in fear, we act and respond. So that’s what you’re seeing happen a lot in the world right now. And a lot of this chaos. And I’d mentioned about and beyond 2025, humans at any moment can shift and change the course of humanity. But if we look at what we’re doing right now, only taking the evidence at hand, it’s not getting any better. And as they say, which I’ll talk about in the moment,
It’s probably going to get worse before it gets better. But what you want to do is learn to manage your thinking and manage your emotions. So number one is you can thrive. You can maintain peace of mind, but no matter what happens, you’re still fine mentally and emotionally. Don Hubier called me a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about the changes that are happening in the world. And I did say candidly.
I said, you know, I knew changes were coming, but I never thought it would be this chaotic or crazy. And he said, well, I told you this 25 years ago, it’s going to be a crazy ride. Now admittedly back many years ago when he told me all this starting around 1996 or 97, what he was saying was, as I was understanding it is things are fine now, but down the road, this is going to happen. And he was saying like in 20 years.
Well, back then, you know, before, you know, 1999, 2000, 98, 97, I was thinking in my mind, well, that’s a long way down the road. So I’m not going to concern myself about it right now. My friend, Gary Zukof, when I talk about this, Gary has said at the same way Don’t Have a Ear has is we are at an evolutionary point in humanity and the human species is changing and evolving.
Jim Fortin (07:13.091)
And like Don Javier was saying 20 years ago, we weren’t in it yet. And Gary said the same thing. We are in it now and we’re not starting it. We are in it. We are in the thick of it. We are in the middle of it. And the question, you know, the question we have to ask herself is how am I going to manage myself with all the chaos? And then what I see people doing, which I’ll talk about in a bit and give you a solution is I see people managing from polarities and that management is
Holy shit. The sky is falling. The world is coming to an end. Nine one one emergency Houston. have a problem. This is bad. Let me run for cover. And then on the other side, I see people going, la things are fine. And kumbaya and things are amazing and all these kinds of things. Well, both are at polarities.
So what I want to be very clear about, it’s not my place to tell you where to be from and where to operate from. When I say be, I mean being your emotional state. That’s entirely up to you. So, know, I think back to, I believe it was about the year 2001, Don Javier being a sorcerer, he literally will channel his mentor Don Juan, and he would channel his mentor in every full moon, and Don Juan would come, as I mentioned before.
to bring wisdom about math and science and sacred geometry and the human experience and the evolution of humanity and a great deal of ancient wisdom. And Don Juan said that what’s coming is going to be very challenging for you guys. Now, again, also at this point, I was kind of like, well, okay, we’ll see what happens. And he said, what’s going to come is going to be very challenging for many humans. And he said, point blank.
make yourself immune to what is happening. Now, the first thing we think is, well, okay, where can I live? Which, you know, there’s a really smart guy in my opinion that I listen to. watch videos of him, Ray Dalio, D-A-L-I-O. Ray created the largest, I believe, mutual fund in the world, or hedge fund, one or the other. But anyway, brilliant man. You know, he’s saying, well, you know, he studies history and all these kinds of things as well, saying you can migrate to this part of the country.
Jim Fortin (09:35.86)
or this part of the world or whatever to keep yourself safe. So you’re immune. And what Don Juan was talking about was through energetic frequency. Everything is energy. What I see right now, a good metaphor would be 2008. In 2008, and by the way, we may be in something right now that is much more significant than 2008 and nine and 10. We shall see.
I’ll talk a little bit about that in the moment. But in 2008 or nine, whichever year, I don’t recall a specific year, but when money started growing up, banks stopped lending. And when banks stopped the lending, and by the way, this is not a discourse in economics, but I want to talk about a principle here. When banks stopped lending, what happened is the economy started contracting. Well, what we were very near is, and
implosion of the US economy. I didn’t say an explosion. We were near an implosion of it exploding from the inside out. And the reason why is because the banks stopped lending, commerce was slowing down. Like it is now, people stop spending money and it basically is like a cancer. It eats itself from the inside out and that would have been the implosion. And what I tell people is
We have to manage ourselves well. We have to manage our finances well, but mentally, and that’s what I want to talk about mentally. We do not need to be contracting. We must be expanding. That means we must maintain our center of balance. That means we must maintain our emotional stability. And that means we have to manage yourself emotionally because any fear that we’re getting into, and I rarely,
Use social media. Actually, I’m not a big fan of social media. That’s just my opinion. Now, of course I use it for business and to reach people and to spread my message. Like, for example, you might even click the link to the podcast through an Instagram link or something like that. But as far as me personally participating in social media, I don’t do it. Personally, I find it suffocating and intoxicating, especially with the polarity in the world.
Jim Fortin (12:02.717)
in the amount of people fighting in this virtual echo chamber, which is exactly what it is. It’s a virtual people are fighting virtually and it’s not even real. And then you take them out on the real, real world and you go to a party and you meet somebody at the party. That’s a really nice person. And you could have been arguing in this echo chamber with that person, but at the party, they’re civil. They are them. They are being the real them.
They’re not beating up on people or crapping on people or judging or tearing or condemning or criticizing or pointing fingers or whatever, like they’re doing with the anonymity of the social media, which is what many people do. So from my teachings, from my mentors, we need to be into emotionally and peacefully expanding ourself. You know, what are we seeing right now? What’s happening in
So many people, we see these hateful echo chambers online. There’s a whole psychology and economy behind that. These echo chambers, whether they be in the US on the right or on the left, are all fueled for profit. It does the news companies no good, like even Twitter. It doesn’t do them any good to create peace and harmony and unity. Why?
Because when we have peace and unity and harmony, we feel good. We feel safe and we feel safe. We’re not checking our, you know, the app or the news or the media outlet 15 times a day. And because people feel unsafe because media is fanning a lot of these flames, media on the left and media on the right. And in the U S the U S white house is probably the biggest fan flame or
literally tossing gasoline on a fire. Now the media companies do it because there’s a part of the brain called the amygdala. And the amygdala is the part of the brain that’s responsible for alerting you to and managing fear. What we do is when we go into fear, that amygdala gets really vibrant, really active. So when we see new stories, things that scare us, it literally activates the amygdala. And because we want to stay safe, the survival mechanism
Jim Fortin (14:24.093)
What we do then is we watch more news to get information as to what’s happening in the world. But the news put out by the media companies is literally designed to keep you in fear, to keep you checking the news. Why? So they can put ads in front of you. They can sell ad space and they can make money. The media, I can’t say all of it, but most of it is intentionally designed to make the media companies wealthy.
and to create more division in the world for what all for profit. Now let’s go back a different direction. They say attention now is a number one commodity in the world because of social media and the media age that we live in the internet age. The way I look at this is we need to learn to manage our attention because you can place your attention anywhere you want it. If you’re still listening,
Right now, your attention is right here. Now you might have a splintered attention. You might be thinking about other things as well, or you might be driving or seeing someone in traffic or listening to me at the gym or whatever it is. But your attention and companies are fighting for your attention so they can profit off from your attention with ad space. So we have to look at, OK, who do I give my attention to?
Where is my attention when I’m peaceful? Where is my attention when I have peace of mind? Where is my attention when I have calm? These are things that I request and suggest you perhaps explore. But I want to talk about a couple of different things here. One of the ways, and there are many different ways, but one of the ways to manage your attention is to take it off from the outside world and place it on the
internal world, meaning in your mind. And there’s all kinds of videos and audios and all these kinds of things. What a lot of people aren’t talking about is shamanic S H A A N I C shamanic drumming. And all the years that I’ve worked with Don Javier, anytime we do ceremony, he always starts the ceremony by drumming.
Jim Fortin (16:47.283)
And many years ago, I said, Hey, Dawn, how come you’re always drumming when we start a ceremony? And he said, because I’m raising the frequency and the vibration of everyone here and I’m helping you guys drop down into your mind. You can do research online, YouTube, whatever. And that shamans have used drumming for many thousands of years to induce trance. I’m not saying that you want to induce trance per se.
But let’s say you do, this is the great way to learn to do it, is shamanic drumming and learning to get into a trance state. Because that state is very calm. It’s very blissful. It’s similar to hypnosis. For many years, even though I still teach hypnosis, I don’t do hypnosis sessions. And when people would come to me for hypnosis, when they were in the session, I would say, are you feeling visit comfort a myriad of things?
many times anxiety, et cetera. And while they weren’t hypnosis, I would say, are you experiencing any anxiety? And a hundred percent of the time they would say, no, I’m not. Hypnosis is a natural state of equilibrium. It is a state of complete peace. And I used to joke with people that they had become a hypno junkie. I don’t know if you’ve ever used any hypnosis before, but it’s a very calling
I’m going to use a word that you’ll relate to a very relaxing, mega relaxing. When you let go, when you listen to a guide to hypnosis, it’s extraordinarily relaxing. But shamanic grumming does the same thing. Now, working with a shaman for many years, I can just sit down and go quiet because it’s trained my brain. It’s practice. I can sit down and in a matter of one minute be in a complete bliss zone.
And I know this not just because I’m saying it, because I’ve done everything from biofeedback to brainwaves, all these different kinds of things. Which by the way, biofeedback is also brainwaves. But I’ve done many different things and I’ve watched the readings when I’ve been able to calm my mind very quickly. You you can learn to do this pretty quickly, but if you want an outside external source, look into just go to YouTube and type in shamanic drumming and
Jim Fortin (19:10.525)
You cannot listen to it while you’re driving. You can, but that’s unsafe. But what I do, number one, because I enjoy it as part of my spiritual vernacular, it makes sense to me. I resonate with it. I have a couple of different just shamanic, grumming sessions that I listen to. They’re anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes long. And my brain is already conditioned. Once I started listening, I go right down into just a deep, deep for me.
trans, but also a place where I can see more, meaning my vision expands. So just take that for however you want it. It’s an idea. You don’t have to use it. I mean, I can’t make you do anything, but I would definitely explore shamanic drumming if I were you. Now there’s a phrase that I heard many years ago. I love the phrase and I find it very true of today. The phrase is that a tree
doesn’t set fire to the branches on the other side of the tree. This can be taken in a couple of ways. Number one is a tree, metaphorically speaking, is smart enough to know that, hey, if I set fire to the other side of the tree, I’m going to burn myself down, which is exactly the sheer fucking stupidity and lack of awareness and self-awareness that’s exactly where humanity is.
Let me set fire. Actually, let me pour gasoline first so it burns hotter and it burns faster. Let me set fire to the other side of the tree because then I’m ego superior and I’m better and I killed my enemy and I burned down the other side of the tree. Well, both sides of the tree are going to burn down. Now, what we want to look at is if one side of the tree is setting fire to the other side of the tree,
That is an extraordinary lack of self awareness and knowing oneself because to know oneself means that I know I’m part of this human experience. We are all connected and I don’t mean like kumbaya kind of connected, even though I do kind of mean that we live in an interconnected world and what happens on one side of the world ripples to the other side of the world. And so I recognize that
Jim Fortin (21:35.224)
I can best contribute to humanity by expanding and growing and building people and especially people with an open heart. So there’s a couple of things that I use, couple of just prevalent thoughts that I hold in the mind. One is to be in this world, but not of this world. And I think I mentioned that in the last podcast episode or so is that clearly we are in this world, but we have to recognize we are not from this world.
And I’ve done podcast episodes on that where it’s like we’re on vacation right now. We’re in a rental car, but we’re going to leave the rental car and go home. Same thing with being on this planet. We’re just on vacation, so to speak. We’re going to leave and we’re going to go home. So we are in this world, but not of this world. And when you come to know yourself as soul, you come to start knowing that. But another one is this, and this is massive in the world right now.
Attachment people are attached and I’m just gonna say it in my opinion the two biggest toxicities on planet earth are organized religion and nationality because these things separate people from each other the religion Look at the chaos in the world, and I think you’ve listened for long enough that you know
that I do advocate and I am a spiritualist, but spiritualism is not the same thing as religion. But in fairness to a lot of people who might say this because it is true, many people take their spirituality and make that a religion. True spirituality is recognizing that the only real God is consciousness, meaning physicists call it the quantum, the quantum field.
Actually, I got a kick. read something recently where last week somebody was tearing me down saying that anytime anybody used the word quantum that they were told to run from those people. Well, wake up. We live in a quantum world and that’s not me. That’s science. But where I’m going here is that people literally, they attach, they attach to the religion. There was an event in Glendale, Arizona this past Sunday.
Jim Fortin (24:02.917)
And look at the amount of people that are attached to the ideology of that particular movement. And then you see other people not attached to that movement and they are attached to the ideology of some other movement. What I want to point out is it’s not our place to beat up other people for their attachments, whatever they might be. We have to recognize that we are all the same. I mean, everyone listening right now.
Every single person listening right now was born with an umbilical cord. We’re all the same species. It’s that people choose to hold different national and religious and personal identities. So what I look at is, okay, if I’m ever feeling a little bit of uneasiness about what’s happening in the world, the first question I ask myself is what am I attached to? So think about that. What am I?
attached to. This will probably apply to you. If you’re attached to something, you’re probably trying to prevent something else from happening, something that scares you when in truth, you’re even attached to your own life. Ponder that. You’re attached to your own life. Now, I’m not requesting, I have no desire to leave the planet at any time soon.
I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I do not desire to leave the planet at this point. I’ve got work to do, but you know what? Many people are afraid of death. There is no such thing as death by the way, but that is attachment to their model of reality, to what they think the world is. And I know that when I leave this reality and anyone that’s left this reality knows it, meeting these dimensions that we live in.
I’m going to evolve and be in a higher level of consciousness. I know that it’s ridiculous to attach to mortality because mortality is not permanent. It’s simply just transient and it’s passing very quickly for many of us. So as I was saying a bit ago is do not allow yourself. I’m going to rephrase that. I would request that you do not allow yourself to get into the fear and the chaos in the world.
Jim Fortin (26:26.149)
Recognize all these people are doing is living from their very limited reality. They’re living from their lack of self-awareness. They don’t know themselves. And that’s okay too, because we’re all on our own evolutionary journeys. Some like a metaphor I’ve used before, like a train. Some are at the front of the train. Some are at the back of the train. It doesn’t mean that anybody is any better or any worse, whatever seat they have on a train.
because the train is all going to the same place for every single one of us. That train is going home. I see, and especially with spiritualists, they go to polarities. They go to either one extreme or the other. And that’s something I want to address. And especially in the secret podcast, they go to, my God, the world, the sky is falling.
fear, fear, fear, fear, fear, fear, compound fear, fear, fear. And they live, so to speak, like on a seesaw on that side of the spectrum, it’s all fear. And then on the flip side, there are a certain amount of people that are like, everything is bliss. Everything is wonderful in the world and everything is happy in the world. That’s fine. But what I want to share about the people doing that is
mentally and emotionally manage yourself in that way, but your physical body needs certain things for existence and sustenance. My suggestion is that we do pay attention to what is going on in the world, but not getting into what is going on in the world. And that’s what I’ll talk about on the secret podcast. Go to jimfortham.com slash insiders, jimfortham.com slash insiders. But for those of you listening here,
Even though I’ve had this for many years, I don’t know how many thousands upon thousands of downloads I’ve had. I can ask the team. I really don’t care. So I don’t, I’ve never asked the team a it’s like a 90 minute to two hour program that I created called the master thought formula. And it’s basically how to manage your thinking, how to manage yourself out of fear, out of anxiety. And it’s completely free. I’ve given it away for many years now. So go to Jim Fortin.com slash.
Jim Fortin (28:47.523)
MTF, jimforton.com slash MTF. So I want to leave you with some parting thoughts. One is everything’s a cycle. We are approaching right now. I don’t know when you’re listening to this, but we just had to fall equinox yesterday, which means winter is coming. When winter comes, things die. And then guess what? Spring comes. And when spring comes, things
They grow, they reawaken. And that’s where we are right now in humanity. We are in the fall, meaning as a season. Now, of course, you can look around and see things falling, but we are in this season of fall. And there’s a very likely potentiality that it can get a lot worse. But here’s what I want to leave you with is remember that you agreed to be here. You agreed to be on the planet.
at this time. And a bigger question to ask yourself is, okay, I’m here. I see humanity going through a shit show right now. Why did I choose to incarnate at this point in my own evolutionary journey? Why did I incarnate onto earth at this time? And even asking that question may help you find deeper meaning and deeper understanding about your own life.
You’re here right now for a reason and that reason is not to hide. That reason is not to be afraid because if you’re listening to this podcast, I know that you are to some degree what many people call a light worker. You were here to do work that would benefit the whole. That is why you were here. So it doesn’t serve you to go into fear and crap because that pulls you further away from your Dharma. So your transformational takeaway is
You agreed to be here. So you agreed to be here. How did you grow and evolve yourself while you’re here? And the number one way to grow and evolve yourself is to actually transcend your fears that are human created fears. And to help you do that, go download the master thought formula, Jim Fortin dot com slash MTF. And if you want to listen to the secret podcast where I talk more about this, go to Jim Fortin dot com slash insiders.
