EPISODE 327: “Reinventing Your Reality”
July 3, 2024
In this inspiring episode, we explore the concept of “Reinventing Your Reality.” If you've ever felt stuck in a cycle, repeating the same patterns and outcomes in life—whether in your finances, relationships, or health—this discussion is tailored for you. Drawing insights from a recent conversation with Gary Zukav, we delve into the profound implications of the double slit experiment and how it relates to our everyday lives.
The story of Christopher Columbus and the natives who couldn't initially see his ships illustrates a powerful point: our reality is shaped by our expectations and experiences. Just as the natives couldn't perceive the ships until their shaman pointed them out, we often fail to see new opportunities and possibilities that surround us simply because they lie outside our current realm of understanding.
This episode challenges you to break free from the confines of your habitual observations and expectations. By altering where we direct our focus—shifting from our current perceptions to envisioning the reality we desire—we can begin to manifest a new and enriching life. This process of reinvention isn't just about change; it's about transformation at the most personal and profound level.
Listen and enjoy!
Transformational Takeaway
Reinvent your reality by shifting your focus from what is to what could be. Embrace the power of observation to mold and shape your life's path. This is not merely an exercise in hopeful thinking but a practical application of how we can actively reshape our reality. As you listen to this episode, consider what aspects of your life are ripe for reinvention and start observing them as you wish them to be, not merely as they are.

E327
You're listening to the Transform your Life from the Inside Out podcast. This episode is titled Reinventing Your Reality. You know, the fact that you're here means that you're wanting to create something new, something more, something better, something different in life. Maybe you even want to start working on your self transformation. But the truth is you're wanting to reinvent something. Maybe your money, your relationships, your health, whatever it might be. And I think back to a podcast that I recently did with Gary Zukav. And I'll talk about that inside this episode. But he said something that I've talked about before and I want to talk about it again, but maybe in a little bit different way because oftentimes when we hear something, we hear it again, but maybe in a different way. It might click for us. And what Gary had mentioned was a double slit experiment. And he had said that we create our reality by observing it and in this episode I want to talk about how you keep recreating your same reality over and over and over again, and you're not reinventing yourself in a way to create the reality that you want. Now to Gary's point we create reality by observing it meaning we create our reality based upon what we expect to see. And that expectation creates a mold that creates the 3D physical experience of life, the reality that we have. So if you'd like to start reinventing your reality, keep listening.
Hi, I'm Jim Fortin, and you're about to start Transforming your life from the inside out with this podcast. I'm widely considered the leader in Subconscious Transformation, and I've coached super achievers all around the world for over 25 years. Here, you're going to find no rah rah motivation and no hype. Because this podcast is a combination of Brain Science, Transformational Psychology, and Ancient Wisdom all rolled into one to take your life to levels you've never thought possible. If you're wanting a lot more in life, to feel better, to heal, to have peace of mind, to feel powerful and alive and to bring more abundance and prosperity into your life, then this podcast is for you. Because you're going to start learning how to master your mind and evolve your consciousness. And when you do that, anything you want then becomes possible for you. I'm glad you're here.
Okay, so reinventing your reality. I think back to a story that I heard about many years ago, and it was about Christopher Columbus coming to the new world and the natives didn't see his ships, even though his ships were in the Harbor, the natives did not see his ships and they weren't even aware that Columbus was in the Harbor until the shaman, the shaman noticed the difference in wave patterns on the shore and the shaman used his abilities and he started looking and he could see the ships. And then when he could see the ships, he told the people in the village and they could also see the ships. The point is they had never seen a ship. They had never experienced a ship. They had no idea what a ship was. And so even though there was a physical ship or ships in their harbor, they could not see the ships. They had no experience and no expectations. So therefore their physical reality, even though the ships were there, they had no awareness until they were made aware.
The whole point is, back to what Gary said, and what he said was basically a summation of the double slit experiment, which you can find in many places online. It's a classic experiment in physics, but basically we create our reality by observing it. But the point is, if we keep observing the same reality over and over and over again, or we've had no experience in knowing something, we don't have any conception of that reality because we've never seen it before and we can't create it. And there are many things that we can't experience with our physical senses and that's not what this episode is about. It's about taking the life you live on a daily basis and recreating your reality. Basically by things we've talked about before where you hold your attention, but I want to look in this episode about your emotions, your experiences of life, and then how your experiences of life keep recreating your current experiences now, keep recreating the experiences over and over and you keep.
You're, you're basically reinventing, but you're reinventing the same thing over and over and over. And I don't know if that'd be the definition of reinvention, but that's basically what you're doing. So what inspired this episode was the Be Do Have series. And in the Be Do Have series, which we're doing live right now, we haven't done it in about a year. I was looking at the homework that people were turning in, and I'm sure that many of you are listening the same way. And many people when they start working with me are the same way. But I'm looking at the homework coming in and the homework is so, so, so full of fears and anxieties and worries. And am I good enough? And oh my gosh, my lack of confidence. And, oh no, I don't want to be judged and people are going to judge me and they're going to say things about me. But let me concretize that for you a little bit. I guess I want to go back here, maybe I should explain that first. So, notice how someone showed up with what I just said.
In their homework, they showed up with, Am I good enough? That is in them. Like the metaphor I've used before, if you squeeze an orange, what comes out? Orange juice. What comes out of the orange when it's squeezed is the juice inside the orange. When it comes to creating your reality, what comes out of you, because a reality comes from you, what comes out of you is what is in you. And if what is in you, the juice, so to speak, is low self worth. You're not good enough. A lack of confidence. You're afraid to be judged. Procrastination. Maybe perfectionism. So these things are in you. These are what you bring to the external world through observing the external world and the external world molds to that. And I'll explain more about that in a little bit and recreate that for you. Let me show you a little bit about how that works. Let's say, and I haven't been in this place in 20 years of my life, but I know it well because I've been there when you have no money. And have you ever noticed that broke people and poor people stay broke and poor and rich people get richer? And many people will say, well, it's politics and taxation and blah, blah, bullshit. What it is, is that poor people, and research has demonstrated this, expect to stay and to be poor. Rich people, for the most part, expect to be and stay rich. That is their expectation. That is the energy. That is the world they observe. And because that is the world they observe, that is what they create for themselves because their 3D reality, meaning their physical world, bends to their consciousness.
So let's look at you for a moment. How about you don't have any money right now. And like I said, it's a story that's very familiar to me many years ago. Not my story today, not my experience today, but it was. And let's say right now today, you've got 7 in your bank account. Been there, done that. And the bill comes in today. Now, where does that bill that you get today, whether it's digital or in the mail or whatever, take your expectations and your emotions? Where does that bill take your observations? Think about that. Where is that bill, how does it affect your observations of the world? What does it bring out? Now when I see observations, maybe you look at the world and say, see, I told you I could never get ahead. See, look at this damn dump that I live in. I don't have any money. See, I can never get ahead. See, I never have enough. So then what we see in our physical experience, and then where we hold our expectations and our thoughts and our feelings about that. And again, I will tell you how to get around this in just a little bit. What we experience and what we expect to see is what we create.
Just like for example, the natives, as I've mentioned in the introduction, they didn't expect and they could not see ships in the harbor. Therefore, no ships in the harbor existed for them. I don't want to go off topic here, but a story popped into mind that I might have told that story in a recent podcast, and I may get it wrong or tell it a little bit differently because I don't remember the headcount. But this, this village guy or the shaman was talking to, yeah, I remember now maybe two episodes ago, the shaman was talking to an apprentice or someone that was working with him. This guy comes up to the shaman and the apprentice and the guy says, ” Hey, wise man, medicine man, where can I find cattle? The medicine man, the shaman says over that hill, I believe you'll find 20 heads of cattle. Another guy walks up and says, Hey, wise man. Hey, shaman. Yeah. Where would I find cattle? The shaman points to the same hill and says, over that hill, you will find seven cattle. Now, after both of these men walked away, the local guys, the guy that was apprenticing with the shaman said, how come you told them to go the same direction, but with different heads of cattle?
The shaman said, that's all they could see for themselves. Let me change the wording. That's all they could observe for themself. And because that's all they could observe for themselves, that's all they could create and experience. Let's go back to the bill coming in the mail. Think about when that bill comes in and you don't have the money. Whether it's a 1,000, 10,000, 100, 000. Where do you go emotionally and what do you observe for yourself? Many years ago, thank God as many years ago, I got sideways with the IRS. And had I not told the IRS, they probably wouldn't have known it. At least that's what a CPA that I hired said. You know, you guys, you can take your chances and they'll probably or maybe never find out. They're so understaffed. And if they do find out, they're going to find the hell out of you and find you in oblivion. So it's better for us to approach the IRS. And I remember, I remember thinking back that before I reached out to this accountant to reach out to the IRS for me, I was thinking all of these things, oh my gosh, what happens if I don't say anything if the IRS catches me? Oh my gosh, bad thing number one, number two, number three, I'm going to be fined into oblivion. All these kinds of things, even though I was under the impression there were relief programs and forgiveness programs and all of that. I didn't experience that because I couldn't observe it for myself. I could not see that for myself. So part of me thought, well, that might work for other people, but not for me and the same vein, these two men that walked up to the shaman, the wise man, And when they were asked about heads of cattle, if he told them both 20 head of cattle, but only one could see it, or he could see more than that's what he would experience. But if one couldn't see it, then he would not experience the 20. He would experience less than that.
Okay, let me segue from the episode for just one moment to remind you that we are currently in the process of offering the Be Do Have series. Now as you may have heard me say before over a quarter of a million people have registered through this series. And been through it. And I've heard many times that people say we should charge for it. We don't, it is a live 3 part series with me. And then each part, what we do. Part number one is we look at your subconscious identity and how you became that. Part number two is we look at your brain-based habits and we're looking at subconscious reprogramming and then Part number three, we look at ways of being in ways that you must be to create the outcomes that you want. And the 3d world, and we look at fear. As I said, many people have said we should, you know, we should charge for it. We don't yet we are going to start productizing it. But for right now, it's no charge and it's available through April. 12th go to Jim forton.com/bedohave, Jim fortin.com/bedohave and you might think, well, I don't need to go watch that or any of that because I'm listening to the podcast. As someone just said in that series that also came from the podcast is that I tie a lot together that's in the podcast. I tie it together in these three modules. So what I'm telling you is it will take you beyond the podcast. And then after you're done with this series, if you want, and you're serious about making a dramatic difference in your life and living a lot better future, I offer you the opportunity to enroll in the transformational coaching program. So again, Go to Jimfortin.com/bedohave get registered for the program. You'll be taken to the dashboard. You can watch all the training it's available through July the 12th. After that we pull it down and we're probably going to, because I think the product is so damn good. We're probably going to start charging for it. So make sure you go now while there is no charge for the beat who have series Jim have, okay back to the episode.
A lot of times when I do these episodes, I do what comes to me and consciousness many, many, many times. I have dreams about the podcast and what the topic would be. And many times I'll throw things into a podcast, not even knowing why I'm doing it. And people will say, wow, that really hit me what you said at one point. So this is a point I want to throw in. I've said many times a couple of episodes ago, and I got some correspondence about this on Instagram. Somebody said they listened to the episode. About me saying everyone's going to cross over and what are you going to do with your life before you cross over? Many of us don't do what we want to do with our life because we are observing the world based upon where we are right now. Broke or miserable or single or unhappy or whatever it is. Opposed to observing the world for what it could be.
And then what we do, oftentimes, and you see this over and over and over again, is so many people on their transformation bed, crossover bed, death bed, they cross over with so many resentments and so many regrets. I do not want that for you. So the question for you is, are you living now in your observations of what the world is based upon your past of what you have created or have you or do you live in the possibility of what you could create and many of you will say different things there but the way that I look at it and again I'll give you a sentence when we wrap up here in a bit. A new perspective to work from, and it's going to require some practice, but once you get it, it'll change your life dramatically. So where do you live from that creates those regrets? And where would you live from differently? And the key is partly this episode to live a life. That's the life experience that you want to have. So I guess a point I'm asking you here, you here, are you going to create a reality? Are you going to reinvent yourself to create a reality and a life that you love or one of regret? You know, something that hurts a lot of people. And the Buddha said our greatest source of I forget the phrase and I've said it before. The greatest source of frustration is attachment. And I'm just tossing that in there because so many of us are attached to our physical 3d of reality. The natives that I told you earlier, before the shaman pointed out that there was a ship and our ships in the harbor, they were attached to their physical model of reality. Therefore, that's all they could experience.
So the question for you, what are you attached to? Because basically it's 3D human ridiculousness. Most people are attached to, Oh my God, people are going to judge me. I'm not good enough. I'm afraid to try because if I try, I could fail. If I fail, people are going to say things about me. People are going to laugh at me, all these kinds of things, all the fears, all the judgments and people attached to these things. And because they attach to these things, that is part of their identity. This is the model of reality they have created like a bubble around them, and they observe all of their reality from the bubble around them.
We have to move out of that. We have to move beyond that because however you're observing reality. So let's say you get that bill that you can't pay as an example, or let's say that that doesn't even apply, but you want to buy a new 700, 000 home. Notice what you're attached to. You're most likely not attached to the possibility of paying those bills that you can't pay or buying that 700, 000 home. What a lot of people are attached to. Let's take this 700, 000 home. Oh my gosh, I hope people don't. Someone's going to get it before me. Someone's going to get it before me. Someone's going to get it before me. Or we might be attached to it. I love that home, but I just can't afford it. And the same thing with people who can't pay their bills. Oh no, what am I going to do if I can't pay my car payment? Oh no, I'm going to get my car repossessed. This is going to happen. That's going to happen. This is going to happen. That's going to happen. You know, when Christmas time rolls around, I'm not going to be able to buy my son, the G.I Joe with the Kung Fu grip.
Who knows what movie that's from and by the way, the G.I Joe with the Kung Fu Grip, that was in a movie back in the 80s. And I remember G.I Joe with the Kung Fu Grip because I wanted one in the 70s. Anyway, so we attach, we attach to not the possibility. We attach to the observable life in front of us. The key is the observation. That's the whole key to this episode, because again, I'm going to give you a fourth time, I'm going to give you the solution, but we attach to the observation. Now I know why I was talking about attachment. Okay. That's making sense now to me, because a lot of this just comes together as I'm recording. So we attach to our current situation and what we can observe, and we don't work from possibility. We don't work from observing life in a different way. So I want to ask you some questions here, okay? Let's say that you. Well, let me show you another story here. I'm wanting to help you evolve and grow is my intention with this podcast, because all the powers in your evolution, in your energy, as I've mentioned in an episode, and I mentioned it over and over and over again over the years, but in one of the former episodes, just recently, I talked about you and the power that comes through you is the ultimate power in the universe.
But many of us don't live from that place because we're too attached and observing our 3D physical life now. I'm not tossing stones, but a friend of mine is getting a divorce and he has long identified as a spiritualist. But in the middle of a divorce, And I'm, I'm a really good friend of his and I, he's a brother, so to speak, and I love him and I'll support him in any way that I can.And I've been doing a lot of metaphorical hand holding as he's going through the divorce and he defines and identifies as a spiritualist. But yet he's into 3D things on a physical, on an, on an observable daily basis. And finally yesterday I was like, Oh my God, thank gosh is that he finally broke through. He finally heard what I said, but every day for literally three or four months now he cries every day. He's been in shutdown, he's been in fear, he's been in worry, he's been in attachment. Now, all of these things being his bubble, how do you think he observes the world from inside that bubble? Think about that.
There's a, there's a metaphor that I used to use. If I put you inside a jar. And I said, get out of the jar, and the only way out of the jar is the instructions, but the instructions are on the outside of the jar. You have to go to the outside of the jar to read the instructions, which means you need to leave the jar without the instructions because the instructions are on the outside. And that's what I'm talking about in this episode. Seeing things from a different perspective in a different way. Because see all these projections that my friend is having. about crying. Formerly he stopped yesterday crying a lot and being upset. And my heart goes out because we are human partly and we're having these experiences and we do love and have families and all this. And I understand that I'm not being insensitive about that. I mean, I can relate 100 percent and I understand. But the key is, where do we choose to hold our observation about what the world could be for us, not what it is right now. Because if we're not holding an observation for what the world could be for us, and we're holding it in the attachments of right now, then we are reinventing ourselves each and every day.
Tomorrow, we reinvent from today, but we reinvent the same thing. This is why we've got to go to the next level. So, I have some questions for you. We'll keep it pretty simple. But let's say that you're ready to leave the planet in the physical body. And you get to the pearly gates, or the metaphysical gates, or the door to the quantum dimension. Whatever you want to call it. Whatever gateway, transformative gate you want to call it. And there's a gatekeeper and you talk to the gatekeeper and the gatekeeper says, Whoa, whoa, before we let you in, you've got to answer some questions and I'm going to ask you those questions. And those questions are, did you live fully while you were down there on that planet? If not, what fears were you attached to that kept you so distracted while you were down there? Listen to what I said. Your fears distract you from your power because you're extraordinarily powerful. You're the ultimate power in the universe and your fears distract you from that. Do you live only for service to yourself, or do you live for service to others?
Do you live in reciprocity to others? While you were down there, did you grow and evolve, and if so, how much relative to you being the ultimate power in the universe?Did you live in your illusionary 3D fears and all of your ego? Or did you live in your power and your unlimited potential? Were you afraid others were going to judge you and criticize you and say things about you? And these others, most of whom, Are doing the very same thing to themself and they are as afraid of you as you are of them. Were you so attached to your physical things, your physical identity. Which you now know is not real because you're not even there anymore and were so attached to that you gave up yourself as an ultimate power to those things on that planet Based on your answers, if you could do it all over Would you have done it differently while you're down there? And if the answer is no, well, then the answer is no. But if the answer is yes, it's time for you to shift and start reinventing yourself into the being that has the experience that you want to have on the planet now.So what I want to assist you with in this episode, I went back through some stuff that I had storage and I dug out a CD set that I had from 1995. In 1995, I went to this seminar by a guy named Joe Klock. K L O C K. And the seminar was called The Search of Maxaments. Instead of maximum, Maxaments. Joe said he made up the word.
And Joe said something. He said a lot of things. It's a four CD set. And I was there live many years ago. And Joe said something that's going to help you shift your experience of life. It's going to go back to the very beginning of this episode when I said we create our reality by observing it. So, How do you observe a different reality from the one that you're living in? The bills, the divorce, the losing the job, the health, whatever it might be. How do we separate these things? I do not recall who it was. I believe it was George Bernard Shaw. Who said, some people see things as they are and ask why. I see things as they have never been and ask, why not? As they have never been. Okay, back to Joe Klock. Joe said something, and here's your takeaway. I told you four times, I would tell you how to start observing reality in a different way. Einstein said it perfectly, and I've said it a bazillion times, but now I'm saying it differently. Einstein said, your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions.
Think about that. Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions. Your transformational takeaway in this episode from Joe Klock. Thank you, Joe. Are you ready? Learn this, write it down, write it in invisible ink on your forehead, put it on the refrigerator, put it everywhere, because this will assist you to reinvent your reality, because it will help you create a new reality by observing a new reality in your mind, no matter what's happening in your physical world. That phrase is this. See things as you want them to be, not as they are. See things as you want them to be, not as they are. When you see things as you want them to be, You were literally reinventing your physical experience you're now living in to an experience that hasn't happened yet. And through the double slit experiment, physics and energy, you start organizing the physical universe around the way you are now experiencing what has not yet been before you. Transformational takeaway. See things as you want them to be, not as they are. Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice this, the more that it will become a habit. Okay. Thanks for listening. And I'll catch you over on another episode. Bye bye.
