The Jim Fortin Podcast

EPISODE 198: “How Society Programs You To Be Unhappy, Broke, Overweight, Lonely And Sick!”

December 22, 2021

This is an episode that I’m truly passionate about. The fact that the mainstream world is indoctrinated into mediocre and powerless thinking has long bothered me.

The mainstream world keeps people unhappy, broke, overweight, lonely, and sick.

Many people find this statement shocking and if that’s the case they are most likely blind to what’s really happening in the world and to what is being done to them.

Being a former hypnotist people would often ask me, “Is it easy to get someone into hypnosis?” My answer was always, “No, that’s easy, it’s actually hard to get people out of hypnosis.”

Meaning, you, me, all of us have been indoctrinated and conditioned into our thinking, and most times that thinking is counterproductive and keeps us trapped. For millions around the world, it also keeps this sick, overweight, and just downright broke.

From the time we pop out of the womb the world “programs” us – TV, news, advertising, school, family, church, medicine…all of it teaches us what reality is and truth be realized, it’s all wrong. Or rather, a great deal of it is wrong and to a larger degree is incomplete.

Just one simple example. Health and wellness. The world, doctors, and advertising program us into thinking it’s hard to heal and even worse, that we’re going to get sick. This is not just a fact. The power of your mind is extraordinary and when you discover it and learn to use it then just about any life you want is available to you.

In this episode, I touch on and give examples of how we are kept down and unhappy when we follow the indoctrination given to us by the world around us.

Want a much better life? Learn to see outside all you have been mentally “fed” in your life.

Break free of all your indoctrination and the first place to start is the realization of it and how deeply it runs in our lives.

Transformational Takeaway

Be in this world, but not of this world.

How Society Programs You To Be Unhappy, Broke, Overweight, Lonely And Sick!

So the title, How Society Programs you to be Unhappy, Broke, Overweight, Lonely, and Sick. Being a hypnotist for many years and I don't do formal hypnosis anymore. I don't do sessions. However, I do teach people how to use hypnosis inthe power of the mind. And I had been asked, I don't know how many times people will say, you know, Jim, is it easy to get someone into hypnosis? And what I've always said is no, that's really easy to do. The hard part is getting someone out of hypnosis.

What that means is as we've all been programmed. And the hard part is getting people out of the program. Or the programming that they have, they've had programmed into them by society. Because all aspects of society program you. The world programs you. TV programs you, news programs you advertising programs you, school programs you, family programs you church programs you and your friends program you.

Basically the world around you has programmed you when you were, you know, 5,6 and actually earlier. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Are the years that we are programmed and for many of us what's programmed in. At that point in their life becomes the way that we live our lives. You know, I know I've mentioned before, and I've said some of the things in this episode that I've said in the podcast before. But I know a lot of times when we hear something, we hear it in a different way. And that's finally when we're like, oh, okay. Now I get it. Now it makes sense to me. And my objective in this episode is to get you to see that you basically are a walking program.

The world is programmed you to be unhappy and to do without and to all these ways and things that do not serve you. Why? Because that was the world has been programmed with by the parents and the people who programmed them. And my objective in this episode is really just to get you to fully fully embrace that, you know what. I have been programmed to be the way that I am through societal interaction and because I want to create new and different and more powerful things in my life. I have to reprogram myself, which by the way earlier episodes go back, you know, to the first 10 episodes. And I talk about Subconscious Reprogramming and you know, the subconscious mind, the things of that nature, this episode is not about that, but yet I'm looking at that from a different perspective.

I remember many years ago when I told the story here in the podcast, I had a woman come in to see me. And she was probably, I don't remember you know, 70, 80, 90, a hundred pounds over weight. And I said to her, I said, was your entire family overweight? And she said, Oh yes every one of my families overweight and she goes, we're Italian and then she went into her story. We're Italian. And because we're Italian, that's what we do. And I said, how long have you heard that story? And she goes, oh, since I was a little girl, my mother used to put food in front of me and go eat, eat, eat. So the issues that she has challenges with later in life. These are things that she's learned earlier in life. Now that might not pertain to you. But what does pertain to you? You know, not being good enough or not being able to sustain a healthy relationship. Or always chasing money and always being broke. Whatever pertains to you. You have learned earlier in your life.

You know, I'd even mentioned on an episode that we learned things like bad and good. As a child early on. We learned that if we're good little boys and good little girls and good little people. Then guess what? For those in the world that believe in Santa Claus, Santa Claus is going to be good to you. And if you're a bad little, you know, good girl, bad boy, bad person. Then guess what? You're not going to get toys from Santa Claus. And that's been programmed into us since we were kids. And I remember as a kid. You know, my mother would take me to see Santa Claus and I think a lot of us can relate to this. Your mother takes you and you plop your kid on Santa Claus's lap. My mother did it to me. And Santa Claus said to me when I was, I don't know, four or five, I don't know. I don't remember, but I remember the question.

Have you been a good boy this year? And I mean, that's what Santa Claus ask it. You know, ask, right. But that's the question. And I was forced in that moment to say, well, of course I want to be a good boy because I want toys. I mean, that's what kids want. The whole point is we're programmed and our parents learn from their parents. So, however you're parent, you know, your parents programmed you is what they learned from their parents. I remember my grandfather who was born in 1904. And when I was in high school, he was talking about things that happened during the great depression. And you wouldn't have this. But, you know, if it wasn't for the great depression or you would have this and all these stories around 1912 and 1936 and 1944, all these kinds of things. That my grandfather taught my mother and then my mother taught us kids. And my mother, my mother, one of her things was. Programming, you have to work hard to get ahead in life. You have to struggle. You have to fight your way to the top. You got to put your nose to the grindstone. And if you've listened for any amount of time, you know, that I actually. I buy into none of that anymore, because for the most part, it just puts people in the ground dead and cold.

I mean, if working hard made you rich, then everyone who worked hard would be rich. That's not the case. But I remember back when I was in, in sixth grade, 1976 a good friend of mine. He lived a couple of houses over. His name was Curtis and we were friends since grade school. I mean, we've known each other since we were first grade. And we were arguing. I think of this. We were arguing about who was going to get elected president. Now how the hell, even adults don't know that know stuff like this. I mean, there's so many armchair politicians in this country that have no education about politics yet. Yet they are experts on domestic policy and foreign policy and foreign relations and all this kind of stuff.

But anyway, when we were 12 I laugh at this story because we were arguing. Was it going to be Jimmy Carter or General Ford? Now I was arguing for Jimmy Carter and Curtis was arguing for General Ford. Why? Plain and simple. My parents were, you know, salt of the earth working Democrats his parents were Republicans. So Curtis and I knew nothing about political platforms at the age of 12 back when we also had no internet. And you just learned at school for the most part or watch the news, we knew nothing about politics. And I look back all these years later, 40 something years later, and I'm like, how come we were arguing? Why because we had beliefs and we had beliefs that we learned from our parents. So look at your life. What do you believe? And how often have you asked yourself how come. How come, I believe this.

I remember back in the nineties and I just want to talk and mentioned TV shows here, but back in the nineties, there was an episode. Episode of the TV show called Friends. Which friends was, um, very popular, I think its probably number one in the US for a few years. And a couple of the characters we're talking. And one of the characters said, well, when she does that, I get jealous. And then he said, somebody said, well, you know, how come you do that? And I said, well, that's what people do. They get jealous when so-and-so their girlfriend does X, Y, Z. And I thought even back then, I'm like, oh, because I noticed that I'm like, okay, what if I were five or six or seven years old? And I was watching that. What would I learn about jealousy? I would learn that when a person did X, Y, Z, then I was supposed to be jealous about it. And where did I learn it? I learned that by watching TV.

I think back. And I was thinking before. You know, before this episode, nothing really popped into mind. But I think back and a show that my mom used to plant me in front of when I was a kid, probably four or five years old. In the late 1960s was Captain Kangaroo. And this was before Sesame street, which came out in 1970 and I started watching Sesame street. As a matter of fact, when I graduated from kindergarten, I got a Sesame Street, 40P 45. What is it? RPM. Uh, record with the Sesame street song. But we learn, we learn. And I was thinking back tonight, I'm like, what did I learn? By watching Captain Kangaroo. Because I know the person I am today. Now I know how to reprogram my subconscious mind. You can trust me when I tell you that I've done I've done a hell of a lot of it over the years because I have these tools.

And I know these tools and I know how powerful they are. But I look back and I'm like, what things was I programmed with? And what you're programmed with for the most part is what you become. This is why like it or not. You pretty much become your mother and father, or you become them to a large degree. And if they raise you because they're unhappy, they raise you unhappy. You'll learn in many ways to be unhappy. No matter how much you want to be happy and you can get out of that trap. But you've learned many paradigms that will keep you unhappy. Mine was that about money? My parents, I watched my father. Always complain and struggle with money. And he learned that from his father. Who was also an autobody repairman, who was always working for money and always broke and always struggling for money. So my father learned that from his father and he taught it to me. My father transitioned over left the planet in his sixties because for his alcoholism, it's cirrhosis of the liver.

Yet he died near poverty. And I thought, you know what? Is he learned that from his father? And my father taught that to me. So he programmed me to be broke. Now, as I've mentioned before, my brother, we grew up in the same household, same everything. This day and age, he still didn't have two nickels to rub together and he's probably 51 years old lives in a mobile home somewhere in Texas and is broke, broke, broke, broke, broke. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. So we had the same conditioning, but yet I psychologically and subconsciously. Yet I condition myself and program myself out of it. Because I spent many years. You know, I went to college, but I spend many years still being a college graduate and a professional job. Even when I was making what I would call good money back then working a job, you know, six figures. I was still broke when I was making six figures. Why? Because I was programmed to be broke. Overweight the example I gave you earlier and I'll touch on all these lonely. A lot of people are programmed to be lonely.

For a lot of reasons, but if you watch ads, TV, ads, Or even, you know, just different advertising. If you're not a certain kind of person, then you're going to be alone or you're not going to be this, or you're not going to be that because you are a certain kind of person. Or you're not the cool person or you're not the hip person or the in-person, or you don't have this one because advertisers say that, you know what only cool people use this product.

And if you're cool, then guess what? All the women are going to want to be around you if you're a guy and if you're a girl, that's the same thing who cares. But. You know people. Oh my gosh. It just popped into my mind. There was a TV commercial back in the eighties. The guy's name you can find on YouTube now was Tom VU.

V U, T O M V U. And he used to teach programs about how to make money in real estate. And all of his, all of his commercials were with him. And he was probably a five foot, two foot, five foot, two feet two inches, tall guy. Wasn't tall. And he was Asian and he would say things like, you know what, if you buy my Real Estate program, you can be this and you can be that. And you can have all the beautiful women like I do. What if your eight years old. And you're watching that or 9 or 10. What does that program people with? And then finally the biggie. Big one is sick. Now to a large degree. Many people have been programmed to be sick with all the aforementioned things that I just shared with you guys.

You know, to be unhealthy is not a natural state. Ponder that to be unhealthy is not a natural state. So then the question arises. How do I get into a net? On a natural state and be in a natural state long enough that I physically become unhealthy and sick. Well, the reason that happens is because you'll learn that. So, what I want to do is I want to look at these and I want to look at each one just a little bit. But the first thing that I talked about, I talked about unhappy broke, overweight, lonely, and sick. Now again, you might not be all of these. But I would bet that everyone listening falls somewhere in to one of these categories to some degree or another. Why?Because they're so encompassing. And there's so much a part of our lives. All these categories are parts of our lives, but unhappy. Now I kind of touched on, but if you look at ads for a moment, And you look at ads about the ways that you have to be. And you have to have this car and these kinds of people have this car and this kind of good job. This kind of home and this kind of financial security and all these kinds of things. But ads will tell you how you're supposed to be to be successful in the world. And here's where unhappiness comes in. People most people work from, well, I have this story. About what my life is supposed to be. Now that's in my right hand.

And I look in my left hand and. You know what my life is, not that, so on my left hand, my life is not that. And on my right hand, my life is that. And guess what? There, there is that disparity between right-hand the left-hand and there's a big old gap. And that big old gap between what you've been programmed to think your life should be and what your life actually is and what it is. You've also been programmed to be.

That is the unhappiness on happiness gap for people. I go back to a girlfriend of mine. Her name was Elisa, and this was back in the 1990s. From 92, we're good friends from 92 til about 96 or so. Very close friends. And she was a Ford model for the Ford modeling agency in New York city. Not only that she was.

Miss New York. And the miss America pageant and in the Junior pageant, I believe she was like, I think she was Teen America. If I remember correctly. Or miss miss Junior America or America's junior miss or whatever. And working for the Ford Modeling Agency. She worked around a lot of big names, like back then, Cindy Crawford and Christie Brinkley and people like that. I remember. I remember one day we were at the check. We were at the supermarket. And the checkout line. And, you know, the magazine rack has glamour and, you know, people magazine and gossip, magazines, and a lot of beauty magazines. And for some reason, I said, what do you think those magazines meaning? Meaning, because she was also on the cover of glamourmagazine and some other covers. Uh, 17, not on etcetera.

And I said, what do you think of these magazines? Meaning the beauty magazines. And she goes. At this point in my life and she was around 30 at this point, she goes at this point in my life. I think those magazines are garbage. I said, what do you mean you were in these magazines and your friends are in these magazines. And she goes, you know what? When I was in them, I wasn't the person that I am today. And today I think those magazines are garbage. And the reason why. She goes, any woman? That has the proper lighting. And you've got three people doing your hair and you have airbrushing and a professional photographer can look gorgeous. These magazines, create, unrealistic expectations for what beauty is. And the average woman in person doesn't look like the woman on that magazine cover. And then they scribed to be the woman in that magazine cover. And when they're not, because that's what they're supposed to be, because that's what advertisers tell them then they are unhappy. That's why I think they're garbage. And then she went on and she said, you know what? She goes, which I knew. She knew Christie Brinkley. She goes, even Christie Brinkley gets zits. And what they do is they just airbrush them out.

And I was reading a while back, some research on men. Men now many years in the, in the seventies and up into the eighties, it never affected men like it did women. And now men are affected also, especially, you know, boys and young guys and teenagers. Why? Because a magazines like men's health and men's fitness, and these magazines that tell guys, you don't have a six pack abs and you don't have this and you don't have that. And you don't have this physical characteristic and you're not, you know, proportionate with your muscles and everything, and you're not working out. Then you're not good enough. And men also many use the word suffer with that as much as women do. Being a hypnotist. I have pretty much heard everything. There's nothing that surprises me. Nothing that shocks me. And the amount of men. That will say things like, you know what, I, I won't even go to, if I go to a pool party, I won't take my t-shirt off because I'm not gonna run around the pool with all those guys that are fit and I take my t-shirt off and I'm not fit and trim with a six pack.

So advertising, which I'll talk about some more teaches people. What they have to be and how they have to be and what they have to look like and what they have to do and what they have to drive. Advertising programs people with here is the ideal human being and the way to live. And most of it is just nonsensical. Now I mentioned unhappy, and then I'd mentioned broke. As I mentioned to you, my parents taught me how to be broke. I mean, I remember one time after college, I was waiting tables. And this guy looked at me. And he literally said he started because we were talking about some political stuff. We're just sitting around the bar, just drinking some beer afterwards and work was over and everything. And he looked at me and he goes, you were, this is exactly what he said. Doesn't mean it's true. It's just what he said. He goes, you were so damn smart. What the hell are you doing? Waiting tables. Well, I was programmed that, you know what, there's this whole kind of things here. And money was hard to make. And I was waiting tables after college for, I remember a lot of years ago.

Fifty, sixty bucks a night. When I could've been making back then probably near six figures, but I didn't know that in myself. Why? Because I was programmed. To work and the struggle and to earn my money. And then the politicians, let me go somewhere else first. So I remember, I remember back in 1982. The year before, uh, before I went to college. I remember my uncle. He would come over every Saturday morning and hang out with my dad and they would literally hang out all day in the garage and tinker around on cars and restore things never finishing it. And they drink beer all day. And I remember, I remember my uncle saying you have all these stars in your eyes and you want the good, you know, you want all these things in life and you want to be successful. And he flipped out a newspaper. And he goes, look at this, look at the unemployment rate in the United States. Look at these inflation rates, look at these, you know, job, you know, all these things, unemployment and all this stuff. And he goes, all these things that you want, or just a pipe dream.

And that's what I was programmed with. So you think about yourself, what were you programmed with? From your parents in particular. Your grandparents, also your friends around you, where your friends around you wealthy, where they poor, you know, what did they program you with? And then the news. And that's a politicians job, especially at the national level.

Is to, I remember an ad. Ronald Reagan. He had really good speech writers. And one of the reasons he was a great president, why will not have your president? Let me put it this way. Let me one of the reasons he was successful in getting elected as president. Was because he was an actor and being an actor, he knew how to read lines. And people could think, well, that's ridiculous. No, it's not ridiculous because there are many people that have been tyrants on the planet. The biggest tyrant on the planet. Literally I read once before that he took acting lessons. I'm being serious. Fill in the blanks, you know who I'm talking about, the biggest tyrant. And the most destructive human being. That ran a country was on the planet. Also took acting lessons. And you watch him speak. Uh, video for many years ago and the guy is extraordinarily dynamic. And engaging the imagination and exciting people, but yet all of his rhetoric was downright to me, just, uh, just atrocious. I can't even comprehend, but anyway.

Ronald Reagan said in a speech one time, which his speech writer wrote, he goes. The average American. Is terrified because they don't know what's going to happen next. In the economy and their life. Now we listening to that, we go, oh, we're average Americans. Okay. Average Americans are terrified with the uncertainty because we don't know what's going to happen next in life. Notice right there. Notice right there. That we're being programmed. Now I didn't buy into it. It took me a lot of years to get out of it, but I didn't buy into it because I knew even back then, I listening to these people and I'm not listening to mom and dad and grandpa. About what I can't have and uncle bill, I'm not going to listen because I can have more.

But that's how I was programmed. Okay. Overweight. I want to segue here and just share kind of off topic, but I guess on topic. Is parents for the most part, teach their kids to be overweight. And if you want proof of that. And so to advertising companies which I'll get to, or our food companies that do advertising. Being overweight has never been a challenge for me. A lot of people, it has been. And what I was going to say a couple of minutes ago is look at the amount of kids in the us now because the world has changed that are overweight. When you walk into the supermarket. And that's because of more sedentary lifestyles. I mean, when I was a kid, mom would kick us out of the house. Go play. We'd go play every afternoon.

And we'd play softball or something in the front yard, but we were always busy as kids. And no TV we didn't use. We didn't really watch a lot of afternoon TV.Now kids are playing video games and different things. But you have to look at how the world also, okay let me go back here to what I was saying. Is some, I just didn't want to skip over this, but I'm hopping around here a little bit, but oh, well, Is. Uh, way that parents can program negative associations to food. Is when we are small, it happened to me, but it never happened in a negative way to where it became a problem. Is parents will say. Okay. If you're good. Then guess what? On the way home, we will stop for ice cream. Or, you know what? You can have cookies if you're really good. So then as kids, we want the ice cream and the cookies. Which are marketed tous and we want those because we're really good. And then guess what? We are rewarded with sugar.

And. You could think, well, big deal, but the big deal is the brain learns to associate. It's a reward. Sugar's a reward. So when I'm good, I get cookies and ice cream and everything else. So parents, please be careful how you are rewarding your kids. Because you're also programming your kids. And if you're rewarding your kids with food, you're programming them to when they're good. Think about that for a moment when they're good, then guess what? They can eat sugar and, you know, ice cream and donuts and all that kind of stuff. Be careful with those associations because the brain will link them together. Now, I know I had mentionedat some point in the podcast before. About Neuro Research brain research. And this day and age research is very advanced when it comes to advertising and marketing. And I'm not going to get into it here in this episode, but I used to work in that field. Uh, Neuro Influence, Neuro Persuasion for a lot of years over a decade. I understand it very well, that it's very easy to get into people's subconscious mind when you know how.

And I love the topic. That's why I worked in the field for a lot of years, but honestly, I was very good at teaching. Ethic what I would say ethically teaching people how to use Neuro Influence. So Doritos, I read a study. It was in the New York times, many years ago. How Doritos, what actually they knew the amount of when you would bite into a Dorito, you know, you get, I don't, I haven't had to read it probably in 25, 30 years. But you bought into a Dorito when you get that crackle in that crunch. Doritos Knows, through watching people with putting them into an MRI machines or whatever. I don't remember. I remember what it was, but it's something like that, but they know how many pounds of pressure you have to bite down on a Dorito to get that crack. And that crunch that's part of the experience.

I'd mentioned before also Cheetos. Why do you think they have the orange stuff on Cheetos? Why? Because you, everyone. I did. I think all of us do. When you eat Cheetos, you get the orange stuff on your fingers. It's kind of sinister the way this is done, but you get the orange stuff on your fingers. And then what do you do? Do most of us to get the orange stuff off? You lick your finger prior to COVID. You'll lick your fingers to get the orange stuff off. Well, some of the most sensitive parts in the body are the fingertips. So when you put your fingers in your mouth, You are releasing endorphins, big Wolf, right? Big deal. But the reality is. When you're releasing endorphins your brain is tying the release or licking your fingers to feeling good, which is releasing endorphins. Therefore your brain ties Cheetos. To feeling. Good apple products. I've done the same thing. Many companies have done the same thing.

But many of us have been programmed to be overweight. By the food industries and then the advertising related to the industry and their product and services, because you're going to feel better. You're going to get an emotional payoff. With a lot of these companies, you're going to feel better if you eat this junk food or your life's going to be more convenient or easier. If you eat this junk food or these crap, or these garbage, that's full of chemicals, your life's going to be better. So you get the immediate payoff because you actually, you know, you, you create a chemical reaction in the brain by doing that, and then you emotionally feel good about it.

But guess what? One pound two pounds, five pounds, 10 pounds, 20 pounds, 40 pounds, 50 pounds later. You look back and you're like, how. How did I get here? Loneliness that I'd mentioned in the title. You know, there's so much advertising around loneliness. And basically you have to do X, Y, Z, which I've covered a lot of it or B X, Y, Z. And if you don't do X, Y, Z, or B X, Y, Z, guess what people are not going to want to be with you? And the people don't want to be with you. Then you're going to be single and if you're going to be single, then you're going to be lonely. Therefore, because we're conditioning. You, we are programming you as a marketer we're pro and an advertiser we're programming. You buy our product and have a better quality of life by being an X, Y, Z called associating to identity being an X, Y, Z kind of person. And if you don't do that, then guess what? You're going to be lonely.

I think I cover it somewhere else. In this episode, if I remember when I was thinking through this. But a lot of advertising is built on fear. And it's built on you being alone or actually not having something in your life. I mean, even for example, toothpaste. Crest toothpaste and most toothpaste commercials. Or about, guess what, if you don't use X, Y, Z brand of toothpaste, then you're going to get Gingivitis. And if you get Gingivitis then guess what? No, one's going to want to be with you. And then no one's going to want to be with you, then you're going to be lonely.

I want to segue here for a second. I want to talk about money, even though it's not related to this episode. And the reason why is I've got a free training coming up at the end of December. But, you know, what applies to you? Do you have money challenges over and over and over again?

Do you never get out of money challenges, and they're really bad? Do you go up, do you go down, money in money out, paycheck to paycheck? Never enough. If any of that pertains to you and money then obviously you're not actually operating from pure possibility and potential when it comes to money. And plain and simple, you're negating it.

So with 2022, rolling around , about we change that? How about we change your money stories? How about we leave your old money stories behind in 2021 and help you create new money stories in 2022. How to do that.

Is Nikki who manages my team called me a while back and said, Hey, you know, I know that you use a lot of ancient practices and your money with your money and spirituality and stuff like that. What practices do you use for at the beginning of every new year? So she goes, why don't we put together a training on that? So what I have is a new program I put together.

With some of the processes that I use, that I've learned from a Shaman that are ancient processes to let go, and to literally burn your money stories, burn them to the ground and get rid of those old stories that keep you between, or keep you from the prosperity and abundance that you want. In life.

So anyway go to the show notes jimfortin.com/letgo jimfortin.com/letgo and get registered for that training which will be at the end of December 2021 and in that training I'll be sharing the processes as I said that I use that I've learned from Don Xavier to let go of money concerns and do actually attract more money into my life

Okay. Another category and when I thought about, you know, as I was thinking for this episode earlier, When I thought of this category, I'm like, oh, My God. I could spend hours on this category showing you how this is, how this has been proven to be true. Time and time again, with really ironclad. Substantial credible research. But many times you're capped, physically sick through programming. Society and advertisers and family. Program you. And for many of us, for many of us, we've been programmed by our parents and they tie the programming. This is I'm going. I, you know, I just thought about this. I used to teach this and share this a lot of years ago, and I've not shared it in about 10 years, I think, but I'm going to share it with you. I was watching a commercial. I don't know, again, maybe 15 years ago, 20 years ago. So this TV commercial comes on. And there's this little boy sitting on his bed. And he's sniffling and he's sneezing. And there's this violin music in the background that it's very soft and it's very somber. And you can see rain pattering down in the window.

And all that the announcer says on a very deep voice. Listen to this. Mom,s, cold and flu season is here. When your little one gets sick. You can depend on children's Tylenol. That's the end of it. Mom's cold and flu season is here. When your little one gets sick, you can depend upon children's Tylenol. That's it. That's the whole commercial. And I watched that and I said, oh my gosh, because I I taught this for a living at that point. I'm like that commercial. Now, mind you, everyone listening. Please tell me the first day of cold and flu season. Every one of you think about it. When is the first day of cold and flu season? Is it November the first is that no, it's November. You know, 24th. Is it November the seventh. What is the first day of cold and flu season? There is no first day. So what happens is, is when a mother sees that commercial. Moms cold and flu season is here. The first thing the mom does and that's literally hypnosis bypassing the critic, the analytical factor of the mind.

Meaning the thinking conscious part of the mind because no mom for the most part stops and says. Hm. Well, is that true? Is cold and flu season really here. May, you know, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, maybe this is an advertiser trying to trick me. No, what happens is. When mothers hear that commercial moms cold and flu season this year. When they hear that, the first thing they think is, oh, that's right. Cold and flu season is here. It's cold out. Then what happens? Is they tell their little one, bundle up, bundle up, bundle up, bundle up. And they also say, you're going to get sick. You're going to get sick. You're going to get sick. You're going to get sick. They are programming their kids. Now, guess what? The kid has been programmed. The kid gets sick and when the kid gets sick, notice the commercial also said when your little one gets sick, it didn't say if your little one gets sick, it says when your little one, which is presupposed, that it is true. When your little one gets sick, which the little one gets sick because the mom said over and over and over, you're going to get sick. Why? Because the commercial said it now. Who can you depend upon? Children's Tylenol.

That's powerful. And that's how it happens or one of the ways that it happens. Another area here is pharmaceutical companies. Now I did research on this. You know, years back. I haven't, I did some earlier today when I was thinking about this episode. And what I found is that big pharma, meaning pharmaceutical companies. Their profit margins were about 250% greater than other industries. Think about that. And that industry big pharma, their profit margins a couple of years ago, where 250% greater than other industries and this was back in 2015. Now I also researched this and what I found from It was pharmacyhacker.com. That, which I've heard this years ago. That pharmaceutical companies spend more money on advertising than they do research and development ponder that. Pharmaceutical companies who want you to buy their product, spend more money on advertising, then they do R and D and then all their commercials are about. If you have this ailment and you have that ailment, you could have this, you could have that. You could have this. And when you have that, ask your doctor about X, Y, Z. Ask your doctor to, you know, about Eli Lilly, this and Glaxo Smith, Kline, this and Pfizer, this and Novartis this, ask your doctor.

Now doctors are human beings. And they are programmed to a large degree by pharmaceutical companies. And guess what? So when you ask about X, Y, Z pharmaceutical, the doctor says, oh yeah, I've had training on that. I went to a steak dinner recently, which they have curtailed that the last couple of years I went to a steak dinner at a fancy steak house where the sales rep was talking to me about that drug. Sure. I will prescribe that drug. What I'm telling you is true. Because again, many years ago, when I waited tables and things have changed a bit. But in very high end restaurants, many times pharmaceutical reps would bring in doctors. And say, okay. You know, have a good time on this expensive dinner. And by the way, here is our drug and this is what it does and prescribe our drug. So then what happens the patient comes in. Why? Because they see on TV. That they could possibly have X, Y, Z. And then guess what? They go ask their doctor and the doctor says, yes. Even doctors.

I've said before, is I fully subscribed to trauma care? If you've got trauma, get your butt to the ER, no question about it. Don't even think twice about it. But I've seen this with my own eyes and experienced that by having what I had last year. The physical elements. A stroke and heart failure. Yeah. I mean some major stuff, so to speak and maybe it wasn't major. Maybe it wasn't major at all because I'm well, I'm healed. Maybe I was programmed to believe that oh,eye stroke and heart failure are major. I don't know. Anyway, I'll leave that. Leave that alone. But in the hospital, the doctors were telling me. That you know what. This is what's going to happen. This is going to be your long, you know, this is your long-term prognosis. Blahblahblahblahblah.

I would, I'm going to probably, I don't know. I want to do more episodes because if I believed, which if I saw the doctors as an authority figure, which I've talked about in the podcast before, if I believe what the doctors told me, I wasn't saying there's, I'm not saying there wasn't some truth to it, but if I believed it and I just took it wholeheartedly, guess what? That would be my reality. Why. Here's the thing. Power of suggestion. Which I used to be an expert in. As a hypnotist because that's one of the things that a hypnotist will use it's power of suggestion. And this has strong. This literally will activate the mind to override the body. And there was this video that I saw one time. And the video was about this town. That literally had like 250 people from the high school go to the ER, over the course of an afternoon. Why? Because someone thought they had something and then other people thought they had that thing. And because other people thought they had that element. Oh, because Bob has X, Y, Z, and that's not good. And now I'm starting to feel like Bob. So guess what? I must have X, Y, Z.

So guess what? I better go to the ER also, and that dominoed, I wish I could find the research, not have to go look somewhere. But that dominoed in a school. And before the ER knew it, they had hundreds of students here, all having these symptoms and there's been tons and tons and tons of research on this.

That people influence other people through the power of suggestion. And this has been around for a lot of years that people have studied us. And in the us, I'm just telling you the truth, like it or not. Is that big money, big advertisers, big tobacco, big pharma, big oil. On a lot of these money-driven companies. What I just told you earlier, big pharma, I'm going to tell you the truth, whether you like it or not. Is that big pharma doesn't want you to be well, why? Because if you're well, big pharma and extremely lucrative industry is out ofbusiness. And the objective of that company is to make shareholders profit on the shares. Guys folks. Ponder that. The job is to make, share holder profits. If that is the truth and it is the truth. Then why would they want you to be well? They're going to go out of business, which does not accomplish shareholder goals. I could do a lot of, and I will, I think, do more episodes on this, but we are, you get the point. We are programmed all around us to be unhappy and to be lonely and to be broke and to be unhealthy and all these kind of things that were programmed, literally. And we have to change the programming.

You know, I'm going to just share this with you like it, or don't like, it doesn't matter to me. But there are the biggest mass programming. Campaigns. Ever seen in the history of the world. Going on in the world right now. So you just ponder that for a little bit and think about what that means. So, what do you do with this? Step number one is awareness. And I think probably a lot of people listening might have awareness about this. I tend to speak and I tend to attract people that are what I call more awake, more aware people that are spiritual beings, people that I call as I am a cosmic being. We're thinking, you know, outside of just let me be a 3d bag of skin or a meat suit or whatever you want to call it or bones and skin. We're thinking in a different level than the masses. Most of us that is.

It doesn't matter. We're showing the world. And please be aware, please be aware that by being on the planet, you've been programmed with a lot of these things that I'm talking about, and you're not aware of them. Why? Because they're completely subconscious. And you're working on program. That's keeping you unhappy and stuck on healthy or whatever it is for you. You may be stuck in programming. Because you've been programmed to be that. And the key is to go back to the earlier, earlier episodes on Subconscious Reprogramming. And learn as I start to lead you there to reprogram your subconscious mind. That is the only way out. Only way outof it.

You can also, you know, also ask yourself. This is the big thing is what's really true. About the things that are fed to me by the world by other humans and by media. What things are true. And you will find a lot of things that are fed to you. Are not true. Well, their true for some people, but if you take them and you own them, then they are true for you. And many of these are some, I should say some of these things can keep you in places in life that are not comfortable and are not healthy. And you do not enjoy. So a question for you as well, your takeaway this week. Is, you know, this, so the takeaway is a reminder. You're a cosmic being. So the takeaway which I've said many times in this podcast. Is Be in this world, but not of this world, work from the higher spiritual essence and knowing, and develop that in you and work from that place. Because when you do that, you will automatically rise above mass consciousness. And that better happened on this planet or that planet's on a lot of trouble the next couple of years. Not in opinion. But look at what's happening. This planet is metaphorically burning down all around us, and it's not the planet burning as down its humanity and the lack of awareness. That's the key, the lack of awareness and conscious awareness that's burning civilization down. So ask yourself this what power do I have? Now what power do I think I have. What power do I have? And if you are functioning from the power of a cosmic being, then what power do you have? What power do you have as a spiritual being? What power do you have? As a soulful being. Thanks for listening. And please share this episode with friends and family or people that you think would get value from this. And I will catch you over on another episode. Do what you can to make it a great day to day. Bye-bye
